***October 10, 2009 SAT Subject test thread***

btw, ^ is math lvl 2.

craaaap so screwed for physics and biology. how in depth do we need to know?
like for optics in physics, do we need to know each convex/concave mirror/lens and what the reflected/refracted image is? and how to draw ray diagrams?

and like for modern physics do we need to use the formulas? L=L0(1-v2/c2) or whatev

Physics is pretty intense. Yes you do need to know about what u just said for optics etc.
So many topics covered… groan
i still haven’t looked over circular motion and special mechanics yet :(

I’m taking physics too. This electric potential and electric field strength stuff is really messing me up. : (

taking the lit test…going in very unprepared

I think I will play MGMT’s Time to Pretend on the way to the test and that will inspire me to think.

I feel like Chem will be 710ish and Math 2 will be 700ish. I’m scared. I should have studied MORE!!! ; ______ ;

i dont get this optics stuff…can someone help.
for both mirrors and optics…real images = upside down and virtual = upright??

Just took the Physics test today!

Kinda worried tho…

just took the physics math ii and chem I guess it wasnt ‘that’ bad except for chem. which I havent studied for at all… anyway do any of you guys know if the international sat subject tests are different from the ones given in usa. I know reasoning tests are. not sure about the subjects tho

US History was easy im thinkin high 700s or 800…when will the embargo be lifted?

just took the bio sat, whatd you guys think?

What did you guys think of Physics/ I thought it was easier than the Princeton tests.

But then again, I raced through three practice tests last night : /

Physics and Chem were both bad

3 omit and ~10-15 wrong on physics = ??
and ~7-10 wrong on biology = ??

i guess barron goes a little beyond whats required and the SAT subject tests are not quite as hard as the barron’s tests

I was pretty happy with my performance, and I usually have a lot of apprehension. I took USH, Math IC, and Bio. Is it true from the curve forum that you actually do not need a perfect score on Math IC to get an 800? They cited bluebook, which stated 48-50 = 800, but I wonder if the bluebook curves usually reflect actual curves.

How much do you get if you lose about 10 points on Bio M?
