October 12, 2011 PSAT Curve and Score Predictions

Yep, I probably got like a 205. Really was hoping for 220+.

Probably:
CR: 70
M: 60
W:73

@Kruomeido: You did remember to convert that to a raw score, right? Just making sure.

What is the California cutoff for this test?

Cr: 60-61
m: 52-55
w: 62-65

We dont know the cutoff right now, but usually its around 220 for Cali

I guess I am at ~217. Oh, well. Life is a b¡tch.

Could someone help me with predicting my score? I’m thinking I got around-

CR: 40-42/48
M: 35/38
W: 35/39

Thanks in advance!

Scholar1

CR: 40-42/48>>>>>>69-73
M: 35/38>>>>>>>>>74
W: 35/39>>>>>>>>>73

how did you check your answers?

that was for IDCMinelife

Sweet thanks… if I got above a 205-210 I’m going to be so happy!!!

Most of the answers to all of the hard and some of the medium questions are on answer threads, which almost always have the right answers by the 50th page, and I never miss the easy questions when I am being careful on the test, which I was. Is 40/48 (meaning a raw score with points already deducted) really going to be a 69 or so? I doubt it, but that would be awesome.

Hey, guys. We all took the PSAT this year, and having talked to a lot of my friends, and having taken the test myself, I think the test was overall a bit harder than normal. The dilemma is that I’m about 4 points lower than the average national merit semifinalist cutoff for my state. However, having compared the percentiles I got for my scores, I think that the scores are all a bit lower this year. Do you guys think that the difficulty of the PSAT this year is enough to make the cutoffs for a lot of states 4+ points lower than normal?

Can anyone who’s received scores let me know what score the curve will bestow upon me based on the following?:

M: -0
W: -3
CR: -4

@MysticLion2013: Perhaps. It really wasn’t that the test was harder, but that the curves ended up being terrible.

Oh I hope so. ^ I’m nervous.

Freshman, took the OCT 2011 PSAT, got the results today and was going through missed and wrong questions and could have done much better, but since this my first i don’t know how to intrepret them for future and upcoming PSAT tests, anyways MY Scores:CR:62, M:61,W:60, please advice if they are good as/for a freshman, Any advice or suggestion is appreciated. How do estimate the SAT percentiles and/or scores.
