@kestrel24 - I had that for one answer.

READING

WRITING
-The two NEs were the sunflower one and the union/management one. They were #22 and #26 I think.
-The commission HAS NOT YET made a decision, this is to keep a parallel with the has verb used in the first part of the sentence.

Again, anyone, was the question about journalism and passage 2, that passage two criticizes (or whatever the term was) the assumption in passage 1, or the other choice, the brings up the negative consequences?

The answer for that one was that Passage 1 describes in a positive light a recent development that Passage 2 describes negatively.

Passages about the rules governing a movement or something along those lines?

You’re going to have be more specific - I know you’re talking about the college campus articles but I don’t know which question.

tREX - are you sure? I am pretty sure that passage 2 just explained how the assumption in 1 is wrong - that journalism isn’t that easy.

No… the one about the internet and journalism. What did both passages discuss? I think it was the last question in the section

for the sunflower sentence error, was the usage of “composed of” correct? i thought it was supposed to be comprised of…

@smc101 I thought that just because passage 1 came before passage 2 and they disagreed didn’t necessitate that passage 2 be directly refuting passage 1. They were both discussing the future of journalism after a specific event (something along the lines of the internet’s influence). Their opinions were really derived from that idea, not each other.

@ncurcio6 - Not sure what question you are referring to. Remind me - what were the choices?

Math Fill Ins:

2.5 was the number line one
9 kids
7 was the x + 1/2 thing
Volume was 1320
Miles per hour was 52.5

Passage 1 described the Internet’s influence positively whereas passage 2 described it negatively, though. Basically saying the Internet had good use, but replacing real journalism was not a good use of it.

James - Yes to all those. Can’t remember exactly what the number line question was.

Smc -

Number line said x, x^2,4x. What number, x, makes the distance equal, or something along those lines

@jamesjunkers
I got 2 for the number line?

@jamesjunker - I got 2.5 for that one.

ncurcio6 - 2 doesn’t work. Check 2.5

2.5 ---- 6.25 ----- 10

That is 3.75 - equidistant each one.

*So the answer is 2.5

Did on guys get the cr question involving trend and consequences?

it was x^2-x=4x-x^2 → 2x^2-5x=0 → x(2x-5)=0 → x=5/2 or 2.5
