u think college board ppl would look on this website and look at our discussions? D:

^no.
1010

yah they will most likely… but the chances of them figuring who is who is really really impossible… i would say…

oops forgot to say LOL! Just Kidding… i doubt it

Characteristic of blue-green algae: reproduce by fission

this one asked for a trait that wasnt characteristic of cyanobacteria, the answer was the membrane bound nucleus

Rats are most closely related to monkeys (of the choices given).
- false, rats are most closely related to squirrels, both are part of the rodentia order.

** Hardwood forest burns down; a year later, what types of plants are present?
- lichens bc theyre pioneer organisms

White guinea pig and black guinea pig mating: Dominance
- the answer to this was multiple alleles. the question dealt with a heterozygous black female and heterozygous black male that resulted in a 3 black: 1 white offspring ratio. it doesnt show dominance since they were both black initially.

Which is least important in classifying organisms?
- it talked about animals specifically, and the answer was the presence of nuclei bc all animals have nuclei so it wouldnt help classification

“All living organisms”/respiration: answers included something about specialized structures (gills/lungs), and pure oxygen…
- answer was moist membranes are necessary for respiration

nvm…-8-9 now

^well plants do not have gills/lungs…

edit: hey just clarifying for the one with 2 protiens binding together it said ‘dehydration synthesis’ right?

^yep dehydration synthesis

Ok good, just checking because I almost had a mini-heart attack that I marked hydrolysis synthesis…

hm…i got a low 700 last time i took this test, should i cancel if already got 8 wrong with potential for more?

Hmm testcross is something like R_ x rr?

Water, I would not in my opinion we have covered the harder questions and the sparknotes curve does not account for fluctuations… so do not give up yet! Give it a day or too, remember, you can always cancel in these next days, but once u cancel, there is not turning back ^.-

edit: sonata, yes

What’s the point of canceling test score? Refund, I suppose? If not, it seems rather pointless, since you have scorechoice…unless u already send scores with the registration.

^agreed.
10char

@boomshakalaka: the schools i am applying to dont have score choice, so if i do poorly, they’ll definitely see it

btw wat do you mean by sending scores with registration?
i do need to send my scores to the colleges soon since im doing early decision. if i send it now, does it include the fact that i took a bio test today? lol thanks!

btw sonata test cross is R_ x rr. You are correct!

Well they dont haaaaaaaaaaaaave to know…

^If u decide to send ur previous SAT scores with the new registration, which is free for 4 score reports, it will automatically send the SAT being registered.
“schools i am applying to dont have score choice so i dunno”
They can never know whether u use score choice or not, although often they suggest not to. Just do whatever you feel best.

@boomshakalaka: so is there a way to send my previous SAT scores without the current registration? or is it automatically included cuz i just took the test today lol

in other words, do i have to resend my scores again when i get my results for today’s test because ED colleges dont know about today’s test?

Thanks

Does anyone remember what the answer was for the selectively permiable bag of glucose in the water solution with glucose?

@dancingbear: yea it was something like the water will flow into the bag because hte concentration of water on the outside was higher than the inside (if i remembered the question correctly)

Im not sure of the specifics but water goes from low concentration–> high concentration… yes?
