October 2010 - Literature

Billy, did you say monologue or narrative?

For what question?

Bump. I’m taking lit in November. What’s the curve like?
I agree that -6 = 800 and -20 = 700 is very generous. Does anyone know of any other curve predictions such as this one by Kaplan?

Thank you!

^i have a McGraw Hill’s book with 7 practice tests…here is the curve for the first one

Raw
60 = 800
49= 750
43= 700
37= 650
32= 600
27= 550
22= 500

I don’t know why they curve the test so generously each time instead of revamping it to be less harsh. AP Language was a cakewalk compared to SAT II Lit. And I got an 80 PSAT CR score and an 800 SAT CR score, so it’s not like I have an aversion to this kind of material or anything.

Thank you, that is very helpful! Wow, 22 raw points for 500 is unbelievable. I think I’ll get in the 600s AT LEAST, but probably in the 700, which I’ll be happy with. Aiming for a 750+, how many can I get wrong (raw points)?

Does 10 questions sound reasonable?

Scores will be coming out in 9 days’ time… I’m feeling most nervous about this exam :/

My SAT score is coming out in 9 days. I’m nervous :confused: but at the same time excited.

Does anyone have tips for doing the LIT test?
How many questions are on it in total & what’s the curve like?
