what is the raw score for 700 for this test in particular???

you mean like what usually is the raw score?..its round about 50 for 700…but surely in todays test it would be lesser…

oh THANK GOD, so the consensus is that it was a lot harder than any PR/Sparknotes/CB practice test??

I always had like 10 minutes to spare at the end of all my practice tests, but holy crap, for this test, I was just full out sprinting at the end…

but it makes me feel a lot better to know I’m not the only one who felt this way haha :)

Today’s test should be like 45=700 at least come on guys who agrees?

I think it should be waaay more lenient than the CB one, the practice test from CB was insanely easy compared to this…

the CB one was a joke compared to this test…and yet the curve for the CB one is pretty lenient :S I don’t really know how my score is going to come out…so frustrating!

lets hope for a 600 on a blank answer sheet… :p

would the colleges take into consideration if you have never taken physics as a course?

why would anyone give sat physics test if theyve never studied it in high school?

After waiting a summer after my poorly taught Ap Physics B class that didnt cover the last 6 chapters to take this test, I was completely overwhelmed by its difficulty. This test was hard as HELL! I could easily manage 750+ on practice tests in books, but these questions were off the chain. I’ll be lucky to get a 45 out of 75 raw… Without any prep, I got a 700 on a diagnostic test. After prepping and taking this test, I think my score will be significantly lower.

When is the embargo lifted? Other forums are starting to discuss problems o-o

go on people discuss problems…as if the CB knows our names…

what the heck this was the hardest test I’ve taken.

and ps, i’m on the west coast and I finished sooo should the embargo have been lifed already if I’m the last to take it?

Humm I didn’t necessarily think this test was that much harder, its just some of the stuff took a lot longer to figure out. I used the Barrons test prep, and this test took me longer than Barrons, and I didn’t have time left to check my answers.

Anyone took the AP physics B test last year? how do you think the question levels compared with that? I remember the MC parts being quite similar in difficulty to this? anyone?

I didn’t think it was that much harder than a Princeton Review practice test I took. I finished with about 5 minutes to spare and managed to go over some of the more difficult problems. I disagreed about the inclusion of several problems, though I can’t get into any specifics until this embargo is lifted.

What do you guys think the curve will turn out to be???

@ Anthroponomist, are you a superhuman?..most of the guys missed questions and i missed like 7 or 8 and im supposed to be great at physics…:S!..how did you do that!!!

@ Anthroponomist, oh dear, going to ruin the curve for me :frowning:
haha just kidding, but holy crap, you beast!!

I felt like this was pretty easy actually. Compared to the SparkNotes tests at least.

qwerty, I was unsure about a few questions myself. I kept a good pace through the easier parts though–I think I was at #50 when the half hour mark was called, leaving about a minute a question for the last 25 before I went back to check my answers. I didn’t leave any blank though–every question I could reasonably exclude at least one of the choices, so I went from there.
