Well you see michael, I thought there must be a period, but the functions as along the lines of:

+1/2 odd
-1/2 even
0 other

so you see, x=0 is otherwise.
This breaks the periodicity. That’s what I think.

0 is an even integer?!?!
Oh well wikipedia tells me it’s an even integer.
:(

for the one with the answer 17…
(x-7)(3x-4)=0
x has to be either 7 or 3/4 because of the zero product property…
so 3(4/3)-3=0
and 3(7)-4=17

tizil I did too. No period

Now that I come to think of it, I think that the period question’s correct answer was that it does have a period. I am trying to use grapher to check this.

dam it there goes my 800. i got the >5 question but i put .1…omg was taht a choice?

Why did your 800 ‘go’ with just 1 wrong? o.O

Could someone help me with the one volume of a cone problem near the end?

The volume of the one cone was 15, and it had a height of 5, while the other one had a height of 10. (Not exactly sure of the values…)

guys i need advice, i skipped fourteen questions on the test, so i filled out 36, of which i think i did well. im pretty sure this will result in at least more than a 700 but is it worth it to cancel the scores and retake in november for 750+ or should i just settle for this?

skipped 5 10 char

Devkat, I filled in 120 as the answer. 4*30.
Did you get the same thing?

definitely got the period question wrong haha

I got 60 for the cone question and 2 for the period question.

oh yeah what was the answer for the cones?

120 I’m pretty sure for cones, and my wild guess for the period was 2

i got 120 for the cone…

smaller: v=15, h=5
bigger: v=x, h=10

solve v=1/3 pi r^2 h for r, plug in smaller cone to get radius of small cone which was 1.somenastydecimal I think

they’re similar so r1/r2=h1/h2 so its twice the height, therefore 2r

v= 1/3 pi (2r)^2 h

what did y’all get for the last question

the one for finding the area of the trapezoid?

I did A = .52.5(2.5+4) = 8.125…hmm…

YAY. SO cones is definitely 120 yes?

And I think we need to come to a consensus with the periodicity question.

I took it for the second time today, I got a 670 the first time which looks pretty bad compared to the rest of my SAT scores, so I wanted to try again. I had difficult time-wise, and ended up omitting 12 throughout the test. I’m pretty sure all the rest are right, but maybe one or two wrong. I’m debating whether or not to cancel–any thoughts about whether I might have higher than a 670?

i got the same for the trapezoid loca. 2 wrong and 5 skiped so far…dam. has the curve every been -7?
