What was the answer to the quadrilateral inside the circle? Angle n plus m equals…hopefully 60? 90 degrees was beside it

For the question that asked something about 4x/6x^2, what must x be so that the resulting number is a positive integer?
Choices:
a) x is rational
b) x is irrational
c) x=3/2
d) x=2/3
e) x= 0 ? or x=1?

I narrowed it down to 3/2 or x is rational. My reasoning for “x must be rational” is because even though 3/2 works and turns the fraction into a positive integer, 6/4, 12/8 …etc could work; therefore, I picked x must be rational. Is that right?

English: I got a 34 last time, but I feel like it might have gone down a little… I had a few questions to clear up, and I actually didn’t have time to finish which is a bit weird.
Math: It wasn’t as hard as the June ACT, but I’m feeling maybe a 29-31 for this one.
Reading: It was good and very basic, but I had to guess on some of the mangrove ones. I don’t think I got any wrong, though.
Science: Much easier than last time. Hopefully, I can raise the 28 to a 32+

I got a 29 composite last time, but a 30 superscored. I hope this next one boosts my 29 for Brown ED!!

^Simplify that, you get 2/3x. Plug in 2/3 you get 2/(3*(2/3) = 2/2 = 1. So the answer is 2/3.

I also picked that x must be rational. Although an irrational x value in the denominator could result in a rational answer (for example, the square root of 2), an irrational number would still be in the numerator. An irrational number divided by a rational number is irrational.

However, I just read Rhino’s explanation, and I like it. I could be wrong.

Im with tedjones on this one, x must be rational. x could be 2/3… but it could just as well be 4 or 5 or 6 (etc.) as long as 6x^2 doesnt = 0.

Woops i meant to put that x could be 2/3. BUT i was wondering if it could be 2/3 or 4/6 or 8/12. Doesn’t that mean that x must be rational instead of being only 2/3?

i put x is rational… can sum1 please find the right answer??

Does anyone know the answer to the last question of the math on form… 71-a or 71-f(I can’t remember) it was a question asking about the perimeter of a triangle that was similar to another triangle. I picked j. I knew it was j or k, but I ran out of time.

For anyone who has already taken the ACT’s before, what would be an estimate of the highest possible score I can get if I get all the questions right except for 10 questions in 3 of the sections? So, with 30 wrong total and a decent essay? Just an estimate based on your previous scores. Thanks.

chronologically, what happened first? Was it losing the softball game or choosing the mozart piece?

21to36, I think it was something like 6(root 585). You had to find the length of the base by doing Pythagorean theorem, and I believe that was root 585. The height was 12. (.5)(12)(root585)=6(root 585). I did the calculator work in a hurry though, so I may have made a mistake.

the answer was definitely its rational. the question never said it had to equal 1, it just said it has to be rational.

and pink, I got 60 too, but everyone saying its 45. I wish I could redraw the diagram, because I was almost positive it was 60…

@tedjones, was that the one with a triangular flower bed or something?

I don’t think so. The flowerbed asked for a perimeter I believe. I don’t remember the answer though, sorry.

im pretty sure it was j or k… i forgot my answer. i got s is to 10s as s-4 is to (n). I plugged in 3 for s and i got -10. the answer that gave me -10 was either j or k

Ted can you tell me if it was losing the softball game or choosing the mozart piece that came first?

OOOH that one, i think i got 10l-40

I’m not sure about that question. I think I interpreted it incorrectly. I’m sorry. I put the softball game, though. It did say she chose the Mozart piece a few months prior to the events in the passage, if that helps.

On english, was the colon before the long list of items separated by commos supposed to be kept or just the verb? I took out the colon.
