again, does anyone remember the question with the answer “rationalism … eschew”?

It was about Hypatia, and how she used rationalism and logic, eschewing the myths of her time. Something like that. (:

do u remember any other choices?

@immadinosaur: yeah, i can clearly see your points and honestly, I don’t even know if the financial cost is the right answer. lol.

I have been reading the sat posts for like the entire day, and it only makes my day worse. haha. let’s just get over it, we can’t really do anything now.

^ THIS.
Even though I’m stuck on this website, it’s really not like we can break into wherever the SATs are sent and change our answers (but if we could…) This is not like that one move, The Perfect Score.

What was the question about “EXACERBATE” as an answer? (SC)

But the question itself was something along the lines of " The Author of Passage 2 would most likely respond to lines xx-xx in Passage 1 by saying:"

And I still believe that it is underestimate the financial costs, because basically the answer is saying that the author of Passage 1, seeing as how it was in 1979, was underestimating the cost of researching alternative fuel sources, which the Author of Passage 2 clearly emphasized. On the other hand, he never explicitly stated that Alternative fuel sources, including solar and wind, were “tried and found wanting”. So merely, based on the contents of the passage, I believe that he would have responded by saying the author of Passage 1 was underestimating the financial costs.

^was this question 17 on the nukes passage?

@Wackaflocka: Question something on the passage about nuclear energy! yeah

Exacerbate I don’t think made complete sense regarding the context, because essential: exacerbate = worsen. The question was to the effect of;

The governor didn’t want to give more funding because that would ______ the fiscal policies.

Something like that.

What was the “treatment” or “handling” question, guys?
I was looking on the supposedly consolidated list, and I see:
Treatment = Handling
and below that shaping baker’s life. I thought they were the same question, but I guess not.

Out of the list, It seems I have 5-6 wrong so far… I hope the rest of mine were right… at most 8 wrong HOPEFULLY so I can get a 700

Everyone is hoping for the best :)

This SAT was nerve wreaking for a lot of people…

Wish everyone the best for Oct SAT~~~

On the culmulative list it says "The guy whom he said the quote to was intent on having an internationally completive business or something along those lines. "

Was this an answer to a question? I dont remember anything like this. Its on page 17

does anyone remember the other choices for the question with the muddy waters???
i’m pretty sure i put apprehensive or whatever, but i’m just curious…

also, does anyone remember a question having an answer with “pragmatic”??? at this point, i cannot tell what was on the actual sat and what was on a practice test…

Aren’t “handling” and “management” synonyms? Why is it handling and not management? (I switched from handling to management.)

The first definition of handling is usually along the lines of “the act or an instance of picking up, turning over, or touching something.” While the first definition of management is usually like “the act, manner, or practice of managing; handling, supervision, or control.”

Why would they put two synonyms like that? -__-

Have you ever heard someone refer to how an author “handles” a topic? It is an extremely common connotation of handling.

does anyone remember the other choices for the question with the muddy waters???
i’m pretty sure i put apprehensive or whatever, but i’m just curious…

id like to know this as well
was the test harder this time?

will the curve be easier?
