Can I wait for my scores to arrive before I send or do I have to immediately send them without looking at my score? How bad would it be if I sent my previous scores and then gamble on this new one (October)? Would the admissions look down upon my app if that score would be lower than my previous ACT score? Should I gamble?
I don’t gamble myself, hence I asked my kid to try to finish her testing in junior year "“if possible” :-).
From reading past answers, I suspect the answers you get will likely be “colleges look for the highest score” or the colleges will use the “holistic” approach.
Why don’t you check with the colleges to find out whether they will accept the scores.
I don’t know how it works, but as ACT posted combined score earlier than the writing score and ACT won’t be sending the scores until it has the scores completed, hence will it be possible to submit to send after the combined score is posted? Can you call ACT ?
Do your colleges super score? Do you think you did better on at least one section of the Oct ACT? If so, I’d use the free send option.
