<p>What do people generally do during October break? Are there usually a lot of people still on campus, or do most people go home/go other places? The reason I ask is that southwest airlines has a $78 round trip fare that I don't want to miss out on if it turns out not many people are going to be at vandy.</p>

<p>If I were you, I would book the flight ...that's such a good deal. I believe with almost all Southwest flights you can use that money as a credit for a year if you decide to cancel. You might want to think about (and verify) that option. I have no idea what students do during October break.</p>
<p>Wow...I checked and the money can be put towards another flight if I cancel. Since I'll definitely be flying home for Thanksgiving and Christmas, I'll have plenty of opportunities to use it. Thanks for pointing that out, dore_mom.</p>

<p>jeanne and frances both hit right around stuart, fl, which is about 90 miles south of melbourne. luckily, we only had a few downed trees and a few missing shingles - not bad at all, especially considering that some of my friends on the beach only 10 or so miles away had parts of their roofs ripped off.</p>
