October SAT Math

Wneckid99 - I got nine times greater.

yep, 9 times greater

crap, i didnt even see 62 as an answer choice for the 6<x<10 one or else i woulda put it.

im at -3, 1 omit :</p>

I think I accidentally marked 3/8. I can't remember. =/ Shoot. Wait, what's a 1 grid-in wrong and 1 MC wrong?

I thought the answer was 32 not 62. I panicked and thought there must have been a typo or something. I had to read the question again to see that n was an integer not sqrt(n). Luck 32 wasn't a choice...

Big, lets say k was 2

the first # would be 4, the last would be 64. agree?
the median would be 34.

set it up equal to 34

n2^k=34
4n=34
n=17/2

get it?

a grid in wrong is the same as an omit

It is so frustrating that the math score or curving is severe. It practically unfair. Cause we should there be a posibilty that actual scores are skipped. Like it's either 800 or 770/780. What happened to 790?

So an omit and 1 wrong should be.... 760-780?

0-1 wrong = 800
2 wrong (including omits) = 760-780??
3 wrong (with omit) = 740-770?
4 wrong = 700-740?

Or... is this somewhat off?
1. 11 (teams with 2 or more ppl)
 2. 120 (area of rectangle?)
 3. 128
 4. 3.2 (a+b)
 5. 45 (one of the possible scores he could've gotten)
 6. 1/25 (1/a^n)
 7. 8
 8. 3 (how many areas does f(x)=b)
 9. 2200 (number set)
 10. 34 (Weird symbol one)
Aren't you supposed to add something to 2200 in number 17? I think it was 5. Am I wrong?

you were supposed to add 5 to both, so the difference doesn't change

200 is correct

sorry 2200

i dont remember 200 in grid in,i do remember 2200 and a=34 on last one
but yeah,550 is the diff,u stil hav to multiplay by 4. = 2200

the other Q i got wrong, the only q =[ was the -f(x)= .... that's x^3+x

It was 2200 for #17 and 34 for the last one.

My posts got flipped somehow

I put 200 then corrected with 2200

Crap, I thought you were supposed to add +5 to the sum. Well, remember to read very carefully guys

can somebody please explain the question with 7 players/median score???

the first grid in is 11(the groups teams dividing), there was a 2 game integer point thing, one of the answer was 45(any possible answer within this range), the circle with 60 degree triangle was C.

^I think you just list them up and then since the number is the median it has to be less than 73 and greater than 69. I forget if those were the numbers.. I took this test with an hr of sleep..

that was one the --any possible value-- one , i dont remeber exact, but something like 69<x+25<73 is the range
