October SAT Math

I think -1 is 770.
This was way easier than June's SAT which had -1 780.

Hey any Idea of what 6 wrong and about 8-9 wrong fill ins/ommitted should be?
so we're looking at 15 ish wrongs eh? i'd say a 600.

too lazy to read the entire thread to see if someone's answered this, but in case someone still needs clarification with the whole 6< root n<10, just remember that the question said n had to be an integer. and since < is not inclusive, n has to be between 36 and 100. but not inclusive. so the lowest number n could be is 37, and the highest is 99. 99 - 37 = 62.

Really? I thought this test was harder than June's. Blehh lol. I had -3 in june, 730.

I missed 4-5 fill ins but ommitted 3 MC's. Right now i have donfirmed 3 wrong on MC so i figure hopefully only 3 more.

Lol I only need a high score in math to make up for my mediocre CR score thats in the 500s zzzz (yep probably lowest CR score on cc lol). But I'm not bad at math or writing so I hope I could break the 2000 mark, but now I probably won't be able to because I got 2 wrong in math that I know of and 1 skip T.T.

You guys really think the curve will be that harsh? I think the math was easier than some of the others, but there were still some tricky questions.

What do you think -5 will be? No omits.

actually, mr. smartass, you're the one who fell into the trap. the problem said the price goes down by a certain percentage of the ORIGINAL price each week.

-5 would be a -6 which is like a 670?

11 (teams with 2 or more ppl)

120 (area of rectangle?)

128

3.2 (a+b)

45 (one of the possible scores he could've gotten)

1/25 (1/a^n)

8

3 (how many areas does f(x)=b)

2200 (number set)

34 (Weird symbol one)

In additon we have:

(17/2),

abs value of x-32<2,

.5<x<.25

15 (Combination of toppings)

b=k (Someone posted this. I remembered there is one ak/b=1)

18sqrt3-6pi (this is definitely true)
( not in any particular order)

the dotted thingy was 10 pi

the roman numeral question was none

k=-3 (D some people said)

x^3+X (-f(x)=f(-x))

the y>x graph, it was D, the exponential graph in quad 2

10 pi ( 5 dotted semi circles)

elevator , 3 stops, 80 ft

3 circles , forming trapezoid is 20 (no mistake)

trapezoid, asking for rectangular perimeter is 22.

the sequence was 2^n (n=1, 2^1=2)(n=2;2^2=4)(n=3;2^3=8)

Add this list and pass it on.

i remember a pi chart of people who worked for 5 years or more, i remember the answer was 2400

also, there was a problem with a model 4(100-X)(X-70)
and it said how many more people will be at the beach on tues than monday if the temps of mon and tues were 80 and 85

anybody remember the answer? bc i don't think i wrote it out right...

yeah it was 40% of 6,000 people = 2,400

Foo. The difference was 100 people.

There was also a bunch of lines with angles and one missing angle which was 50%

^^ The answer to that one was 100. add it to the list. definitely 100, checked it on the table in ti-83. f(85)=900 and f(80)=800.
900-800=100

How do you guys think this Math compared to June and January?

it was 100
since 4(100-80)(80-70)=800
and 4(100-85)(85-70)=900

900-800=100 people

easier than june by far.

can smeone refresh my memory what the elevator question was?
and it's 20 omfg not the square root thing.

It was the graph.

Its not 20.

The base of the trapeziod was 8 by combining the two radius, and the two sides of the trapezoid were also 4 since they were both radius. That gives us 16. The top of the trapezoid, however, was not 4. It was a chord of the circle, roughly equal to 2root3, or 3.46. Answer was 16 plus 2root3

some-dude, it's been settled. it has to be 20. the chord was not equal to that. If you draw an inverted triangle from the top 2 vertices to the center where the bottom (8) is split into 4-4, you get 2 equilateral triangles on two sides. Since they are equilateral, the middle one has to be also, making the top length four. Also, eyeballing, it looks rougly 4 because the figure is to scale. Sorry man, it's 20.
