I really honestly don't even REMEMBER doing an ice cream combination quesiton.. this is so scary. I remember doing a combination (it said combination in the problem, even) question in which the answer was 6 (3+2+1). Did I get that one wrong? klj;safd;lsjfdsa;jk commit sucide

[/quote]

The answer was 15.

ncr(6,2) =15

Yeah you did
The answer was 15.
ncr(6,2) =15

SO CLOSE TO 800 MATH SO CLOSE SO CLOSE SO CLOSE.!!!!!!!

I REALLY HOPE -1 is 800.. even though it won't be and i'll have to go emo. );

780 blahhh. But.. it was -1=800 in oct 06 so maybe this time ;D

voodoo, i hope u got it right too =) ,i said i dont remember the exact lengths, but it was fairly simple. so yea i guess u got it right.
9. 11 (teams with 2 or more ppl)
10. 120 (area of rectangle?)
11. 128
12. 3.2 (a+b)
13. 45 (one of the possible scores he could've gotten)
14. 1/25 (1/a^n)
15. 8
16. 3 (how many areas does f(x)=b)
17. 2200 (number set)
18. 34 (Weird symbol one)

In additon we have:

(17/2),

abs value of x-32<2,

.5<x<.25

15

b=k (Someone posted this. I remembered there is one ak/b=1)

18sqrt3-6pi (this is definitely true)
( not in any particular order)

the dotted thingy was 10 pi

the roman numeral question was none

k=-3 (D some people said)

x^3+X (-f(x)=f(-x))

the y>x graph, it was D, the exponential graph in quad 2

10 pi ( 5 dotted semi circles)

elevator , 3 stops, 80 ft

3 circles , forming trapezoid is 20

trapezoid, asking for rectangular perimeter is 22.

add that the sequence one was 2^n

10char, 2^n

also add that 2400 was the answer to the pie chart thingy

What was the question for the perimeter of a rectangle, answer 22?

Section? I don't remember that one... oh noes

about how much would -3 be with one omit..

Man, I was really shooting for an 800. What do you guys think a -2 is?

ha. you fell in the TRAP, it was consistently losing a percentage; this doesn't mean it goes down .1 a year i.e. 5% of 14.8 is NOT the same as 5% of 14.7

-2 should be around 730-750

This question:
x^3+X (-f(x)=f(-x))

I got right, but I really labored and stressed over it, and plugged in numbers for x till I got the one that was right. I know it's ultimately an odd/even thing, but would practicing Math II tests help me get this faster? I thought a poster mentioned that. I'm just taking too much time.

And this one: 2/x > 3, why did that one take me forever? What's the quick and dirty way to solve this? I think I may have gotten it right, but isn't there just some straight algebra to do here, to get the answer quickly?

And the circle/trapezoid equillateral triangle could be eyeballed, sure, but where's a good mathematical breakdown? I looked at the diagram someone submitted, but I don't get it.

Thanks, guys.

What was the trapezoid perimeter of rectangle (answer 22) question?

-f(x) means multiply it by -1.
-1(x^3+x)=-x^3-x
f(-x) means multiply x by -1
(-x)^3+(-x)=-x^3-x.

You are right, Math II did help alot on this question
But you should have also remembered that it can't be a even function ( I think 3 of the 5 answer choices were x^2)

it was a trapezoid figure,with a left and right, 3 4 5 triangle.

Hey any Idea of what 6 wrong and about 8-9 wrong fill ins/ommitted should be?

-6 should be in the upper mid 600 range

O snap, i vaguely remember doing that now. You had to figure out that the hypoteneuse was 5 right? And then you had a 3-4-5 triangle (3 being part of the rectangle) so 3 + 3 + 8 +8 . right?

P.S.

I think the curve will be this: I'm sure many will disagree, but it won't be too harsh. We have to remember that this is CC and that October is a HUGE test date (everyone takes it). So even if we did extremely well, it doesn't mean the rest of the nation did and usually october tests are either graded as below, or -1=800 in which -2=770.
-1=780,
-2=760,
-3=730,
-4=710,
-5=690.

Or something like that.. bleh

That would be awesome. I'm really looking for +600 to garuntee Uconn! and to beat my sister of course.
