The manager/director at my SAT Boot Camp said the students at the academy tend to score worse in October than November. He provided me of an example of a girl who scored 2250 in October but a 2320 in November with no preparation between those two months.

Is October really worse than November? He said it's because of the competing seniors and yadda yadda and I'm scared because I want to take it in October instead of November because I don't want to lose my SAT knowledge while having to manage school.

Oh yes, that is because it is public knowledge that the difficulty of the test and the correcting curve is established by the level of the responses of that day’s administration.

By the way, in case it was unclear, that part of the post was entirely sarcastic. What is not is that it should make no difference if you take the test in October or in November and that the people at that Elite center do not have all the right answers.

oh yeah i have a question silverturtle. you know how Collegeboard is getting rid of the 1/4 point deduction next year? how will this fare in terms of a positive or negative effect?

Hmm, I took the SAT last October and got a 2070. After minimum prep, I retook in January and ended up with a 2320. Your counselor just might be right lol.
