Odd Email from Questbridge

<p>I just received a strange email from Questbridge and was wondering if other got a similar email: </p>

<p>Dear (name), </p>

<p>To celebrate your admission to a QuestBridge partner college and to welcome you to the Quest Scholars Network, we would like to offer you a complimentary Quest Scholars t-shirt. </p>

<p>If you would like to receive a t-shirt, please complete the survey at the following link by no later than this Friday, July 23: </p>

<p>Although we plan to order a few extra t-shirts for students who miss the deadline, we strongly encourage you to take the survey as soon as possible. </p>

<p>Additionally, we are seeking to pair new Quest Scholars with returning Quest Scholars on each partner college campus as a part of our new mentoring program. Please reply to this email to indicate your interest in being paired with a Quest Scholar Mentor, and we will try our best to accommodate you if we have enough Mentor volunteers from your campus.</p>

<p>The thing is, I was not admitted to a Questbridge partner school... through the National College Match, I ranked Yale and was deferred to Regular and then was rejected and I was also rejected from Brown during the regular decision process. I'm sure this is a mix-up on their part but I was curious as to whether I should email them and ask them about it? Perhaps I'm just taking this with too much salt?</p>

<p>You should probably ignore it. I think QuestBridge can be a little confused sometimes. They sent me an email about t-shirts a few months ago and I did the survey but I never got the t-shirt. Then I got this email, so I did the survey again. I wonder if I will ever get that t-shirt…</p>

<p>Haha, they have sent it out THREE times. I’m not sure why. Sometimes people get put on the wrong mailing list.</p>

<p>They may be having email glitches. Yesterday they sent my D 3 different emails informing her that her 2 teacher rec’s and her 1 counselor rec had been received and she could check the status in her “My Locker.” Normally that would be a nice courtesy email to update the status of her application. However, she was a Match in 2007! :slight_smile: </p>

<p>We both got a chuckle out of it, and I called QB to let them know they might have a problem.</p>

<p>Haha yeah I just received an email about technical difficulties. Now that I think about it, I might have received the email before as well. So odd… I mean I was a little confused seeing as I would hope I’d know what schools I got into since I’m going to college in a month! </p>
