Odd question

I am a transfer student for Fall '11 waiting anxiously for decisions with an unusual question: what is the maximum amount of time you can stay at a UC as a transfer before being kicked out/forced to graduate?

Depends. I think for Haas (Berkeley business) you’re required to graduate in 2 years. There are probably odd requirements like that as well for other specific schools/majors, but I’m not sure a specific requirements exists for general transfers. I met a guy last quarter who was entering his 4th year as a transfer student.

Well, at UCSC they guarantee transfer students 7 quarters to complete requirements for graduation and after that you have to request to extend your time here.

Most UCs have a unit limit around 215 quarter units. You should plan to graduate as soon as you get to 180 units.
