<p>So I just applied for Dobie because I probably won't get a contract for the on campus dorms. Does anyone know if Dobie runs out of rooms like the on campus dorms do or if I could get a decent room if I just applied. Also what/when should I expect to hear from them next? Do I have to wait 2/3 weeks for them to offer me a contract like UT Housing or will it come sooner? I just want a dorm :/</p>

<p>Call Dobie and ask them that you want to speak to their accountant and then see if he/she can fax or email you the contract/lease agreement.
You could have also considered Castilian…they’ve got nice food 
I was also tied between Dobie and Castilian because I was denied off campus housing and finally came to a decision picking Castilian, even though rooms are bit smaller but other things are great.</p>
<p>They emailed my lease and then I printed it out and mailed it to them within 72 hours, and now i’ll be receiving a $200 giftcard for sending my contract bact within 72 hours.</p>

<p>I don’t know where the giftcard is for, but I was told by the leasing lady that I will get it in a month because they have to order it. I am hoping its a credit card gift card so I can use it anywhere, and you will get the full $200 i’m sure.</p>
<p>Castilian offered me $200 discount off of the $400 confirmation fee within 72 hours of tour so I am guessing Dobie is doing the same thing, but in a little different way. Guessing their rooms are not filling up fast enough.</p>

<p>It was just a regular Visa gift card. It didn’t come with a reason so my mom called and asked why and they told her it was a part of a promotion they were doing.</p>
