off campus housing

I have talked to many people and it seems like the main off campus housings are: homepark, 100 midtown, and metropoint. These places are not very safe and they are somewhat expensive for the low quality housing they provide. I have searched the web for other inexpensive(~700-800$) apartments/condos( 1-2BR/1BR) in the area but from the reviews, almost all of them seem to be very unsafe, have cockroach or bedbugs, and have bad maintenance (dirty hallways/elevators/stairs). Anyone know any good, fairly priced place in midtown?

The problem with midtown is that apartments will either be older and unsafe or new and expensive. People who live in midtown either pay a ton or have 3-4 people rent an apartment together.

If you want to find a place that’s more affordable, look up around Howell Mill/DeFoors Ferry/Collier area. That’s a 10 minute drive to campus but you’ll be able to find the balance of cost/quality that you want.

please live on campus, its soo much safer. I got two security alert emails in the last 24 hours.

just today… reconsider living on campus…

that is kind of expected from the homepark area. Which is why in my original question, I asked for places other than homepark, etc. I am sure there are safe places that are not super duper far away from campus.
