Just wondering how apartments are around the campus area. Price average for single bedroom places, the condition of the places, names of communities, if it is quiet? If it is safe?

The biggest thing I am looking at is price, safety and noise. Because its georgia tech, would it be more quiet than most other colleges that arent as stressfull?

If anyone lives in an apt, can you tell me your apartment name so i can look around?

Im looking for an off campus apartment, mainly because the on campus ones are not single room. I would prefer not to have a roomate (cause i have an apartment style dorm and 2 sets of roomates ive lived with... i prefer not to have them lol).

I have looked around for apartments, but many of the apartments are very.... bad. One of them had subsidized housing and people knocking on your door begging for food and money, selling crack, and shootings in the parking lot. Another had similar problems etc...

100 midtown and metropoint
i think price range for 4 room dorm style apartment goes from 600-700.
If this is too expensive, you can get the room near hometown but that place is dangerous, rusty and old.

"Welcome to Downtown Atlanta. Please close and lock all windows and get ready to bust a cap. Thank you."

That sums it up right there. It's either going to be expensive or ghetto, unfortunately. Thank you years of urban sprawl and recent gentrification.

Altantic Station is very nice.....however, they have had some issues with crime lately. The truth is that the surrounding area is somewhat dangerous. I would rather see you take an apt out near a marta station and then jump on the train daily to go home.....or check out the lofts the ga tech people rent or
Each of these areas has good and bad places to live. There might be a room to rent in a house with a family. Feel free to pm me with a specific address and I can give you my opinion. Seriously, i would rather see you in a dorm on campus that in a flat in the middle of subsidized housing. My H's family grew up on 10th street basically on tech's campus....across the street they build the first public housing complex inthe US. I believe it was finally torn down! I don't want to read about you in the paper. This is not mayberry.
