Off Campus Presentation

I wanted to know what actually went on during this presentation?

Which off-campus presentation? An admissions info session? If so it’s a presentation talking about the opportunities at USC. The real value is for you to go and ask questions that you want answered as well as getting to know the regional admissions rep who’s likely to be the first person to review your application.

As far as any other off campus presentations you’re going to have to be more specific.

When I was emailed earlier it said that Discover USC admission information session, then yesterday they emailed me talking about admission interviews.

Cole,

Recently I posted the dates and times of “Discover USC” dates and times. Admissions committee representatives arrange these workshops/receptions around the nation and abroad. All dates and times can be found on the undergraduate admissions forum on the USC website.

I was able to attend one of the receptions which took place at a hotel. Seniors and parents who had contacted the university from the area were greeted and then had a brief social time with light refreshments. The admissions presentation included a video, introduction to USC and talks about housing, student life, academics and important admission dates. After the formal presentation students and parents broke up into groups interested in Dornsife, Viterbi, Annenberg, Marshall and the art schools. A representative from the financial aid office was present to answer questions regarding financial aid and merit scholarshps.

Parents and seniors were given plenty of time to ask questions. Brochures and viewbooks were available to take home.

Interviews are an option at SC and are not required.
