Off-Campus vs. Keyes Complex

My D will be a classed as a junior next year and may have a good chance at landing a dorm at Keyes (Apt style, 4 bedrooms, 2 bath, living, and kitchen). However, her friends are trying to talk her into going off-campus.

She will not have a car, so she will rely on friends and buses for daily travels. She goes to UF gym 5 days/week, prefers studying at the UF library, and cooks for herself most of the time.

Anyone can give me the pros and cons while keeping in mind both alternatives? Thanks.

Well if she doesn’t have a car, and will be at the UF library and gym often it makes sense for her to be close to campus. Living off campus sounds nice for some but if she has to rely on other people and buses it will lead to unnessary stress for her wondering if she’ll be where she needs to be at certain times and all that. You can’t always rely on others or even the buses.

I dont know Keyes, but yes being near classes and the library is critical.
