Off the Waitlist, Orientation?

My DS was taken off the waitlist and he put down the deposit and is ready to go. One question I have is , will Binghamton have any other orientations for admitted students?

Hi! My name is Rob and I’m a Binghamton University Student Ambassador.

In July, there will be several dates available for our incoming freshmen to participate in our Summer Orientation. During this Orientation, our incoming freshmen register for classes and learn a lot about what to expect when they arrive in the fall. Registration for Summer Orientation starts this Monday. You can find out more information on it here: [Binghamton University - Binghamton University : Experience : Must Dos](http://www.binghamton.edu/admissions/fall-2013/orientation.html)

Let me know if you have any other questions!

I looked all over and didnt find out how much the orientation costs… you have any ideas?

hftmrock: For the incoming student, it’s the best kind of cost…free! Our freshmen attend Orientation free of any additional charge - it’s included in the normal tuition and fees for the following year. Included is a room for the one night they stay for Orientation, meals for the two days they’re here, and the full programming put on by the university during Summer Orientation.

There are also activities hosted for the families of incoming freshmen, if any parents are interested in staying. Parents do have to pay a fee for their own separate orientation program; they will attend activities that are mostly separate from those their student will be doing. It is not required in any way for a family member to stay for orientation. I didn’t have any family member stay for mine, and I don’t feel like any information was missed out on in that respect, personally. I do not know the exact cost per head for family to attend - that information will be available during the sign-up process on the 6th.

thanks for the quick reply. When we were considering New Paltz (If he didnt get into Binghamton) the cost for orientation was $215 for the student.

I am getting an error trying to sign-up for Orientation. It says Invalid Major. I am in the School of Management. Is it possible that the School Of Management has not loaded the student information and cannot signup yet?

Thanks for your help
