Off Topic Essays

How Strict do you think the readers are on off topic essays, what if the essay asked for you to write about if you should only consider the opinion of educated people, and you wrote that people should listen to the opinions of all people (but you didn't address education level)? i need to scrape away with an 8 or 9 on this essay to get an 800
My example were lord of the flies and how they ingored Piggy's advice (for all those who read this book), Ghandi's peaceful protest suggestions, and how the British didn't consider America's cries for independence and how this resulted in war.

Im not going to lie, it was a horrible essay, butr i filled both pages, How often do readers give you a zero for being off topic?
thanks

Please guys, im really worrie dabout this

It won’t be a zero if it’s a good essay, but an off-topic piece will not fetch a spectacular score.

Your examples sound weak, but an essay about listening to EVERYONE certainly fits a topic about only listening to some people.

If you said something on the order of “It is best to listen to everyone instead of a subset of the population” you should be all right. Ideally though you would have added “regardless of education level” to that.
