<p>i'm going to see Hostel, not a good idea since i have a weak stomach and get scared easily... :P</p>

<p>I really want to see that.</p>

<p>I wanted to see it too, but that i realized i wasnt a sadistic freakishly evil man who get's his giggles from slaughter and blood goop</p>

<p>hmm....actually, it looks pretty good</p>

<p>well the movie truly reflected what today's society is all about: sex, violence, blood, gore, hurting others and sex afterwards......
although the scariest moments didn't last long they were pretty gruesome but the movie made me think a bit where humanity is heading since the director of the film got the idea for the movie from the real "sick shiet" that he found on the internet... so some of the stuff in that movie to some extent might have been true....
um the worst part is that some people took their little kids to see it :(</p>

<p>I can't wait until I see it.</p>

<p>that move was B.A</p>

<p>People took their kids to see it? Wow, that's possibly the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Some people should just be sterilized.
Quentin Tarintino is a nut/genius. I can't even watch boxing because it makes me physically ill to see people hurt, but his violence is so stylized that I can bear it- was hostel really stylized like, say Kill Bill, or was it just full on gruesome?</p>

<p>yup little kids.... covering their eyes it was that bad...
well the movie itself is pretty short about hour and a half. i must say that the beginning (1st 1/2 hour) is not scary at all and reminds you of movies like The Road Trip or American Pie... with a lot of nudity and sexual scenes and two reckless pigheaded college guys having fun in Europe...
then it gets into the dark underground of the society... well at that point you can just stare at your lap, close your eyes, or look away.... that's what i did if i could not stand the scenes..... well the movie is about torture... and they actually show close ups.... it's not a calssic Tarantino movie since it was written and directed by eli roth...
but then the underground scare lasts for only about 15 minutes and you can actually breathe and relax ... :)
i guess you have to go to that movie with your mind prepared that it's not real.. and don't let it suprise you....
well, i have heart problems and a weak stomach and i saw it... so gambadent you will do just fine watching it.......
i highly recommend it just for the moral of the movie.......</p>

<p>sexual scenes, eh? Perhaps this move is a calling after all.</p>

<p>It was no worse than the first Saw, which I believe was one of the most finely made and percieved movies in a long time. THe psychological edginess just wasn't there in Hostel and there definitely wasn't as much gore throughout the whole thing. I actually laughed at the beginning of the movie when the two dudes were just having fun.</p>

<p>I have been told it nearly doubles or triples the Saw movies - the eye scene amongst others.</p>

<p>i agree neverborn
and hostel itself is a powerful movie that leaves impact on its viewers unlike Saw which really didn't move me at all...</p>

<p>I LOVED Kill Bill...Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction...even Jackie Brown...well, maybe not loved Jackie Brown, but I enjoyed it. </p>

<p>I hate horror movies, though. I think they're shallow.</p>

<p>So I'm kind of torn.</p>

<p>"the eye scene"<<< these three words pretty much assured that I will never see this movie.</p>

<p>fingernail torture is what gives me the chills</p>

<p>that and foul language</p>

<p>well the point of the movie is not torture and grusesomeness...
is this topic fine on this forum? i mean the college stuff is done for now... so i guess we could have a bit of freedom of talknig NONSENSE for at least 3 months :) untill the dreadful results come...... :(</p>

<p>oh nerdygeek, are we not humans first and college applicants second?</p>

<p>well yes yes we must give in to our petty human desires of talking Nonesense and then college talk :)
I like being human</p>

<p>If not for our petty desires, we would be no more than piano keys.</p>

<p>piano keys??????</p>
