I was honestly surprised to receive my decision of deferred today in the dreaded thin envelope. Is it simply my SAT’s that killed me? Is there a good chance of me getting in on RD?

You have the same SAT scores as I do. You have an outstanding GPA/rank, though, which will work towards your advantage. Your ECs are pretty good, I’d say. I think you have a good shot. I have a lot of ECs that geared towards what I want to major in, but it’s evident that that makes no difference in these early admissions. I’m sure they are primarily concerned with SAT scores and courseload. I could be wrong.

I have a 3.9 (i think thats unweighted?) class rigor:three APs and eleven honors classes (i know, not very heavy on the APs)
