I will be transferring to Georgetown this fall but im worried about a dip in my grades (I posted in the gtown thread, but I thought that some other accepted students may share this concern):

I haven't received my grades for last semester yet. What do you think it would take to get admissions rescinded? I recall from H.S. that admissions committees are generally really loose and overlooked B's and maybe even a C (although they sometimes send warning letters). Do they deal with transfers similarlY?

I had nearly a 4.0 when I applied, but this semester I think I will have something like two A-'s, a B+, and a B (which should be just under a 3.5 i think). And would a B- be dangerous?

no. I think you're fine :)

I'm having the same concern as you. I got into UVA and USC with a 3.88 (all A's and A-minuses). But this quarter, 3 of my classes are in the A- to B+ range with another course in the B to C+ range. Does anyone know if people get rescinded for a C+?

Chill, guys. Perfection is not expected. :)

Yeah, I had a 4.0 as well last semester, and this semester I ended up with 2 As, 3 Bs, and 1 C. I still have a 3.54 so I think I'm still ok.

um...most colleges will be okay with a C or better.
a D, you might have to get ready with a good explanation.

I know UC's are fine with 3.0 and better.
More selective colleges are okay with 3.5+
Not 100% sure about Georgetown but definately ask them!
