Offer some hope to a senior!? What were your stats like, for those who were admitted

For those who were accepted into UCD what were your stats like? Anything helps, but mostly
1. SAT/ACT
2. GPA
3. classes
4. ECs
5. volunteer;work;etc

What major did you apply for??

haha i hope it’s UCI, not UCD.
but here are my stats.

  1. 1940/29 (i reported SAT, but not ACT–don’t be stupid like me!)
  2. by end of junior year, my overall weighted was 3.8 ish, unweighted 3.7.
    my UC GPA was 3.91.
  3. senior year classes looked like this for me:
    AP Calc AB
    AP Government
    HP Economics
    AP Lang & Comp
    Wind Ensemble
    Clerical Aide
    Virtual Enterprise.
  4. I didn’t have too much ECs–i was in key club, red cross, and instrumental music council, and i did golf for a year.
  5. i think i had about 500 hrs of volunteering hours (mostly done on campus). i tutored & worked at a clinic as a billing assistant, and i think that was pretty much it.
I applied for Business Administration major, was accepted as undeclared/undecided, but i was offered a change of major to BA in June.

I wish you the best of luck!

Oh yes i meant UCI woops!
and this does help a lot! so would you recommend applying for undeclared/undecided?

i wouldn’t recommend applying as u/u. if you know what area you would definitely want to go into, i think applying as undecided within that school would be better than just u/u.

1790/26 (Not the greatest scores I know. D: )

I’m not sure about which GPA was which but my transcript said 4.1
Unweighted 3.7.

I didn’t start taking AP classes until I was a junior. I took AP Psychology and Art Studios: Painting.
For my senior year I only AP’s I took were AP Calc, AP Gov, and AP Art Studios:2D.

EC’s- Secretary of Rising Sun: Asian Pop Culture Association, Ecology club
Member of: NHS, Red Cross Club

I did about 250 volunteer hours. Most of them were from the local church I went to.

As for Major I applied for Electrical Engineer and got accepting into there. In the middle of the summer I switch to Pharmaceutical Sciences.
I really think I got in based on my essay. I talked about my room. o-o
Good luck.

SAT: 1950
Sat II scores: 680//660
UC GPA: 4.0

SAT(subject tests were like 650, I was sick and kept on falling asleep)/ACT=32. never did any prep, I estimate that if I did it would’ve been 750ish and 34ish

GPA 3.5 weighted, garbage unweighted. I didn’t really do homework. AP courses gave me higher grades as they had less HW and were more test centric

classes - all AP and honors, all of which I slept through

ECs - I played videogames for hours on end

volunteer;work;etc - LOLOLOLOLOL. Actually I worked about 25-40 hours a week. put in 0 effort into school slept in class

also my essays sucked, I spent 2 minutes on them. Didn’t really care about getting in straight out of HS as I thought I’d have to pay my own way through. didn’t get in.

going there now though, transferring is a joke

@xelink

i know, the TAG thing is slightly rigged, lol

1960/31

1) GPA: 3.8 weighted
2) SAT: 1890 SubTests: 500’s/600’s
3) AP Lit & Lang, AP Gov
4) 200+ hours of volunteer work, piano, dance

And to be honest, I just wrote the essays on the spot.
I got in as a Bio major.
