Vyruz: I don’t mean to be mean… but why does it matter? A rejection’s going to be a rejection whether or not you know what the rejection letter looks like beforehand… you know what I mean?? and grindallday just said twice that it looks the same as before LOL.

Hey grindallday, when did you turn in your appeal?

Sorry to hear that as well…

I also agree with stargalaxy, xD.

I turned it in on the deadline date. You should be hearing very soon.

^
I didn’t appeal, but maybe my status has changed and now I’m just really nervous, LOL.

I wish I hadn’t checked CC for a while…at least until finals…roflmao. >__<;;

Thanks for the information.

@grindallday

May I ask what your major was and what the basis for your appeal was? If you don’t feel comfortable sharing on the forum, could you pm me? Thanks.

“After careful re-evaluation of your application, we regret that we are unable to grant your appeal for admission as enrollment spaces for fall are extremely limited. Please note that appeals are now closed and any supplemental information will not be considered. We sincerely hope you’ll join us in the spring and, if you haven’t done so already, be sure to complete your Statement of Intention to Register (SIR) by the deadline listed in your Next Steps.”
so i dont know if ill go to Berkeley in spring or UCLA

^
Well, at least you’re in though. LOL.

I’d take the time off and continue working…or traveling…to get ready, just me though. >__<;;

Good luck!

@ |nc.

Sorry about that. :[ When did you send in your appeal?

Not sure if this is true… but it seems like those who are still waiting have made it to another filtering stage??

^
Nope. Just rolling basis.

^ That’s odd though. I sent in my appeal earlier than Grind, but he/she already heard back. Maybe different school/major?

Yeah, I agree with Sakura. I think it’s just rolling. I remember reading on another thread where one person wrote that there are four stages and that if you are made to wait longer… it probably means you’re in.

I don’t think that’s true though… AT ALL. I mean why would they make you wait for a long time if they really wanted to grant you your appeal?? I’m pretty sure that if they wanted you… they would try to let you know ASAP!

Yeah, it’s not true.

Based on other threads, there were people who got denied after the June 1st deadline, which sucks if you ask me. :/

The part I do agree with is the major…I’m not sure how they do it exactly, but yeppers. They let certain majors know first/last, whatever.

Rolling though, don’t think much of it. [:

so far on thread… 0-2… :[

@ |nc. My feeling is that the Berkeley admissions probably hate it when spring admits appeal for fall admission. I’m guessing that admissions might say something like, “they should be happy they were admitted at all.” This quotation doesn’t necessarily reflect my own feelings on the subject. But it’s not too far off. I, personally, would throw in a few more expletives.

^
They probably hate it if they don’t have a good enough reason, lol.

Like reading all of those appeals who just reemphasize to look at their application again…nothing new. :/

Yeah. I would like to think that no news is good news but that is probably wishful thinking. I think that the statement about them being sent to different schools is probably true. This makes me think that we will all hear soon. This is soooooo nerve racking!!! Worse than the first time around.

Sent from my iphone.

hate berkeley they judged me base on what i have written

this whole thing reminds me of the first scene from saving private ryan… lol

hang in there everyone

Lol S01… That’s a pretty brutal analogy.

@ Stargalaxy… Do you recall where/how to find that post about the four phases? I don’t believe it either but it would be interesting to take a look.

3:13 PST… still no word.

sigh…I’m still really really nervous.
