There’s a plus/minus 1 leeway for the significant figures.

this will be hard

we just covered descriptive chemistry in class and it was awesome and by awesome i mean that i have no idea what even happens in like half of the reactions

Does anybody have tips on memorizing solubility rules?

Does anyone know where I can find the 2008 ap chemistry exam Multiple Choice. I’m so scared as i just took the mc in class and got a raw score of 24 which is either a high 2 or low 3. I read the princeton review and everything :(. I got like 3 of the FR but i really didn’t study that yet. I didn’t have a real textbook as my class kinda sucks so i relied on this alone. I just thought taking the old exams and learning from those mistakes would help but i’m totally staying at that level. Would someone please help me out?

Any predictions for FRQ 1 (Kc/Kp, Ka, Kb, or Ksp)? We were doing a little poll in class the other day, would be interesting to see what actually comes up! For us, it’s split between Ka and Ksp.

!. ksp
2.reaction rate-mechanics
3.electrochemistry
4.equat (duh)
5.atomic structure
6. colligative properties or qualitative analysis

I hope there is a gas law problem, I’m good at those.

I really hope #1 is a Kp. I’m kind of hoping for a reaction rate question as well, and something electrochem because it’s still fresh in my mind.

I will be angry if #1 is Ksp. I hate Ksp.

I really hope #1 is acid-base equilibrium!

Ksp are brutal. I’d rather have a Ka than that as well.

i thought ksp was brutal too, but then i started practicing this morning and it is actually so much easier then acid base. and i thought acid base was easy!

Will there be a periodic table provided for the exam?

Yes, QuantumLipids

Yea, there will be. With atomic weight and atomic num.

I can honestly say that I don’t think I would have made it through this year if it weren’t for AP Chem.

My teacher has taught chem for 38 years, AP for at least 25. She is honestly the coolest person I have ever met and I want her to adopt me as one of her grandchildren :-P. But really, I feel like crap because it’s her last year and so many kids are disrespectful/have given up and aren’t even reviewing for the exam. Ah, I digress.

Am I the only one who enjoys the FR section? (yes, I accept the fact that I am a chem nerd.) I have been doing practice and only missing like 3 or 4 points each time (a 65% or so is a 5).

I am a little more worried for the MC section. It’s harder to prespare for, as there aren’t as many tests/answers to practice from. However, I think I’ll do fine. I don’t want to be overconfident, but I’d be quite shocked if I didn’t get a 5. I’ve been well prepared by my teacher and I just get chem (English, though, is another story). So anyway, PM me if you have any questions, and good luck to everybody taking this exam!

Does anyone have the answers for the 2004 ap chem mc?

Just wanted to give my review on the AP Chem Crash Course.

I bought it because I was really impressed with their Euro and Psych prep books. But the Chem one has a bunch of typos and it’s only good for a quick review. It has some nice tips and pointers and an awesome lab overview section, but you have to supplement it with another prep book like PR to fill in the holes.

Just to clarify a point that the book made, the heavier the atom, the slower it effuses right? Because the book says otherwise and I think it’s a typo…

Yes. Heavier = slower.

^Thanks!

Is half-life ever tested in the FRQ (or MC)? The equation is not listed so I’m assuming that we either don’t need it, or we’re supposed to memorize it :/
