Official 2011 AP US History Thread!

Guys shut the **** up about the questions.

@Ivycraze

Dawes Severalty Acts

Our school didn’t take the AP US History exam today because of the horse races. We will take the APUSH exam on May 18th…Is there any chance that the essay questions will be the same for us?

Hey, what did you guys put for #80, last question? About the difference between French and British colonies? I switched from C (manufacturing) to A (relatively little immigration restrictions), but still not sure.

@allstaruk

No, you will be taking the form B test.

Ok thanks! It would’ve been nice if it was the same haha

do you guys not realize that someone can report you for this? don’t talk about it yeesh, it’s for your own good.

You guys should stop talking about the tesstt… but on the another note, does anyone have any practice SAT II USH tests? I"m taking the test tmrw and I heard that the subject test is a lot more detailed. :(

Go to Sparknotes test prep. I think they have 10 practice ones

I have never been so chill during a test. I was practically laying down while writing.

Thinking about when PSN is coming back up

Not to get off topic. But at this rate, PSN will never go back. Haha. Xbox is where its at

LOL, I was too ! I finished MC like 15 minutes early, and was trying sooo hard not to fall asleep. I had a nightmare that I fell asleep during the MC and woke up with 5 minutes left and 40 questions. But I’m kinda nervous for the subject test tmrw :/

Gosh, I love you guys here on CC.

My school had 90 students taking the test, but looking around it appeared that only 2/3 even attempted the multiple choice and I only saw 7 kids that looked like they were really writing during the essay period… I saw the majority sleeping or drawing pictures…

After the test, everyone I heard from said they thought they failed and most said they were going to cancel their scores. I guess that makes sense since both APUSH teachers this year had complete blow-off classes, where we never once practiced an AP exam.

I’m glad to know that other people actually try!

That makes me really happy! People to raise the curve :slight_smile: hahaha

I heard the subject test is like 10x easier than the AP!

@natalie9494:

When I took the subject test last year, I thought that they were pretty comparable to the AP multiple choice.

@natalie: I heard that about chem but the opposite for ush? Either way, 3 subject tests tmrw. Lesssgooo ! Anyone else taking it tmrw?

yeah I’m super nervous about the results, and I’m sure I’m going to be stressing about it the whole weekend, even though its too late to do anything about it.

I think the DBQ curve is going to be a little low, just because I’m guessing most classes didn’t cover the particular topic a whole bunch. It was very random, and my class’s reaction once they opened the booklet was groans, laughing, and "oh god"s, just because we’ve only covered this topic during a saturday session where we had to meet extra since we didn’t have enough time for all the topics in class.

Do you guys know how hard the essay graders hard? Are they generally pretty nice about small errors (wrong race, wrong person, etc, but has general idea)?

@doublerainbow: Larry Krieger, the writer of the DH book said that a small mistake won’t hurt you. (Someone asked about naming the wrong revolt but still being able to explain the revolt he meant clearly).

what is a good strategy for SAT II? Like, I know they take off .25 points for incorrect. I want to get like a 730+ score so what would be a good strategy for that?
