ahahahhhahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh #$@%$^%$^@%!#%!# I’m going crazy here!!! I thought I was rejected after those three aceptees…but the decisions weren’t out yet!!! who am i supposed to believe!!! I was SOOOOOO ready to read that rejection letter today, but it wasnt there when I opened my email box… and I just didnt know what to feel… happy? sad? relief? ■■■

I don’t understand what difference it makes in releasing admissions decisions tomorrow or today…why delay the inevitable? It’s so stupid.

Hey, if you really won’t accept that a batch of acceptances were sent out, I don’t know what to tell you. I’m not intent on putting you down, rather, I thought people here would like to know some were admitted.
If you’re so anxious and full of yourself that you’d rather not believe that others got in, it’s on you.

I mean, I tend to believe that real acceptances were sent out I just don’t think that means everyone else was rejected.

If you could put some of our speculation/accusations at bay by perhaps uploading a screencap of the email ([■■■■■■■ - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting](http://■■■■■■■.com/)) with your name redacted, that might be cool. Although that’s probably more work than you’re willing to do for a bunch of people accusing you of being a liar, so I understand if you don’t, haha.

Question for those who were accepted: Did your acceptance emails mention how many total transfers were accepted? I know that some other schools like Harvard mentioned the total number of applicants and the total number accepted. Apologies if the answer to my question has already been posted somewhere.

That’s a really good question I’m interested to know the answer as well.

I have not posted before and I am not a ■■■■■. My daughter received an “approved” email and we are now wondering if it could be a scam. The email she received is exactly like the one already posted. It does not mention total number of students accepted nor the total number of applications. She will wait until tomorrow like the rest of you. Again, I hesitate to post because of all of the questions. Please understand I am only trying to help.

@dadofpg: Is your daughter an international student? I’m not sure about international students, but the woman I spoke to in admissions today told me that ALL decisions are released tomorrow. She pretty much implied that nobody had been admitted so far, but there are people on this thread who seem to have gotten acceptances (your daughter included). So she may just be misinformed and maybe Yale sent out a first batch of acceptance emails? I’m not sure, but as long as your daughter’s acceptance email is from an admissions officer at Yale I don’t see any reason to doubt it.

She is not international.

I would recommend calling and asking whether any decisions had been sent out. If they say no, then ask about the acceptance email you received.

Totally not worried anymore. Just got into Penn!!!

I’m not inclined to believe that my admission means that everyone else was rejected, either. Yale’s admissions office probably has weird time lines. Another university that I applied to sent me my acceptance letter one month after every other applicant I knew was admitted, so I’m not too bothered by delays.

I’ve also uploaded a screenshot with stuff filtered out.

@dadofpg What day and time did your daughter receive the email? I’m interested to see if it was around the same time as the other three. Thanks.

@sonomono, you go to a community college currently right? I think (and I’m just speculating here), that maybe Yale sent out acceptances to international transfers, EW students, and community college transfers (they do say on their transfer page that special consideration is given to CC students) first. Hopefully that’s the case and all the rest of us will hear tomorrow.

Actually, I’m an international student who goes to a community college. The conditions of my stay in the United States are pretty damn strict as far as paperwork goes, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Yale processed the files of international admitted students before those of others in order to get started on I-20s and all that jazz.
As I said before, I have been notified of my acceptance at relatively odd times by other universities, so I wouldn’t take a day’s worth of delay as a sign of anything, especially given how secretive Yale has been about its processing of transfer apps.

He got it on Wednesday May 11th at 6:53 AM, which was yesterday. I think what happened was that the accepted students got their e-mails and whenever someone called to ask, they didn’t want to say they sent any out because we would obviously figure out that whoever didn’t get an e-mail by now was rejected.

Sigh…

Congrats to those that got in! Have fun! :)

@sonomono - That makes sense. Congrats on your acceptance, by the way!

Congrats on the acceptance guys. If you got accepted, could you please post some stats, even general stats, so we see how the transfer admits will generally look like and if those who are still waiting have a chance?

That’s a good point… I think I was being a little self-centered… so…

CONGRATULATIONS! HOLY CRAP! YOU ALL ARE INTO YALE.

I’m extremely envious. Have fun next year!

hey guys… please accept my apology about accusing you of not being accepted… i was and still am in denial haha… CONGRATS!!!
