*OFFICIAL* 2012-2013 AP European History Thread

How are you studying?! I finished all my other APs so I start today! Is Princeton Review and Crash Course good enough for a 5?

I’m using Crash Course and Barron’s and supplementing them with various practice exams. The PR and Crash Course combo should be fine.

Check out robertsapguide.co.nr–This is what I have my students use for additional notes and quizzes.

Oh my god guys I don’t think I can start till tomorrow. So burned out from the other APs -_-

Alright, so we have some sources saying that the following two FRQ’s will see daylight on the 15th

-Fall of Communism/Coldwar

-Women after WWII

ANYTHING ELSE?!!!

What are good tips for the DBQ?

-point of view analysis for 3 documents or more
-use AT LEAST 7 documents
-have a strong thesis

These three components are from the DBQ scoring rubric that the AP graders use; do these I’m your essay and you’re guaranteed a score 6-9

I’m probably on the border between a 4 and a 5…

Within the past few days I’ve managed to gain about ten more points on the MC, so I don’t feel so doomed. Just hoping that I’m not lost on this year’s FRQ

I’m pretty bad at analyzing. Can someone explain how to analyze them properly?

Ahhhhh it’s in two days

How are you guys studying for the exam?

HEY! what studying methods are people using to studying for the exam tomorrow??? PLEASE HELP!

I’m so screwed. Enough said.

just stay on topic and remember your thesis… would u like a link to some practice DBQs?

I’ve read Crash Course 3 times and PR once within the past 1.5 months. Tomorrow I’m gonna read about the Cold War and hard topics in depth tomorrow in PR. Praying for a 5.

I’m using Crash Course and Barron’s and I’m taking various online practice tests. My main concern for the exam is that I’ll see the FRQ prompts and won’t know anything about any of the topics, and/or not be able to write it in 35 minutes. I’d love a 5, but I’m expecting a 3 and hoping for a 4.

I’ve found the best review to be just outlining all the unfamiliar euro frqs on the collegeboard website. Not only does it help with knowledge of general topics, but it helps you practice organization, time period recognition, and even association. Worked like a charm on Apush…

reading only crash course  ran out of time.

question, does the ap exam go up to the fall of the berlin wall only?

No, the exam goes up to 2001. Would consistently scoring close to a 70/80 on the multiple choice put me in the range for a 5?

I’m worried that I won’t get a 5… is it almost certain that there will be a FRQ on the Cold War?
