Official 2014 Georgetown Transfer Thread

are you guys, domestic or international?

I have a feeling that the waitlist is actually a soft fluffy Georgetown denial. So typical

waitlisted woohoo

@wellletshope i’m domestic

Last year’s thread had decent wait list movement. Also a few people in the transfer group on fb said they are still deciding between other schools, and well we know of one in this thread that didn’t accept as well. So I would accept the wait list spots if you really want to go. Still a chance! Unless you have earlier reply dates for deposits.

Reply date is the 15th so you will definitely know something by that date.

Hmm no email and nothing in the mail today. Seems like a good sign (I hope haha). Good luck to all of you on the waitlist.

For those wait listed, besides second semester grades, what are things they want for “additional materials”?

wait listed from McDonough. Looks like I am going to Cornell considering my deposit is due there July 1 and Georgetown might not release final decisions until July 15. Best of luck to everyone!

@AY1776‌ Lol bad question to ask your competition.

Word of advice though, ask if it is a rank-ordered waitlist and if so inquire what your place is in the ranks. So you can make the best decision as you have other schools to reply to. If it is ranked they should be willing to oblige.

waitlisted from walsh school of foreign service. Since its the literally the best foreign service school i highly doubt anyone accepted there would turn down the offer, but maybe i’ll get lucky.

@AY1776‌ Anything that would still show your interest in the school.

No email and no letter… I really hope that means good news cause this wait is killing me

For those who received their physical acceptance letters, did it come in like a big packet or just a regular letter?

I got wait listed as well…

Any econ majors get waitlisted?

@rjl757 the acceptance letter came in a regular size envelope with a few sheets of paper in it. Good luck to the rest of you still waiting to hear or those on the waitlist!

Nothing in the mail today

Unbelievable

Anyone here going to USC (Southern California, not South Carolina) if they don’t get in off the waiting list?

I’m going to USC if I don’t get into Georgetown or UVA

To all of you on the waitlist, I have my fingers crossed for you!
