@chrysanthemum14, where the graph crosses the x axis, that is where y is zero.

EDIT: wait ^ thats what i initially thought… hmm

@newdle, @chrysanthemum14, if you graph |h(x)| youre basically going to take all the negative values of h(x) and reflect x axis, did anyone try to draw |h(x)| … darn it i think the answer might not be 0???

I thought it crossed the x-axis like 3 times zig-zagging .___.

how many no errors did people get? i got 3

@Q7heng
It was like Ancient Egyptian and another language shared similarities but some things could not be ___________ because they were previously thought to be __________.

I circled running.

Also 99% confident that anticipation/trepidation is the correct answer.

@Newdle Same, I’m almost certain it crossed the origin.

I said anticipation because she’s replaying the thought process in her head… A LOT… And I said trepidation because she’s scared of what might happen.

@chrysanthemum the independent one was correct

The graph crossed the x-axis at least twice

@AsianBoyGenius
Well now it all depends if the x-value had to be an integer.

@DrunkScholar I think it was anticipation/trepidation because she did meet them in the end, she just really didn’t want to (if she wasn’t going to she wouldn’t have said in “half an hour everything will be different”). and it was def a combination of dread and excitement because half of her fantasies were happy.

for “raucous laughter” did people get shared familial trait?

@16elir - Almost circled familial trait, but then the next sentence said something about acquired behavior.

@16elir Yup, I’m sure it was familial b/c it said “even though we had never met”, suggesting a commonality that only family should share.

Also, did anyone else recognize the passage about the brain/card experiment? I think read it before…

I said that it was familial trait because it said they all coincidentally shared the same raucous laughter. They never met so how could it be acquired.

@glasshours what specifically did it mention about acquired behavior?

also, what was the mood of the fathe’rs death (most vivid, most dread dream)?

also can anyone recall questions about the Eastern Islands passage? I failed that one LOL

Did you guys get 25 for the a^k and whatever?

Now I think I may have made a mistake but I can’t be sure, because towards the beginning she sounded anxious moreso than anything but I can see anticipation being right

Hm, I thought the “even though we’d never met” meant that it was acquired behavior. Wasn’t the question phrased something like, “What does ___ imply/suggest”?

Looking back, I shouldn’t have changed my answer to that question…shoot…

@Newdle Was that the a^k = 25 and k^b = 81 one or something? I got 64…
