***Official 2015 June SAT (US Only) THREAD***

@Chrysanthemum14 Then yes, I had it, haha.

@jaylin35
I didn’t get that section, although from what you describe it as it was probably experimental, but I’m not entirely sure.

I put that the one thing implied, which I thought was about the second Easter Island passage, was that there were forests, and that was the premise for which the second guy’s argument stood, since the idea was to make canoes carved in the woods and then go to shore or something like that. Or maybe that was the “What was assumed…” question…

Now that I think about it, I do remember one inference questioned that dealt with the end of the first passage where the terrain was hilly and hence made statues hard to move, but I forget the answers.

Why was “smelling” in quotes?

@mathshredder The timing incident

i think it was “sniffing,” same thing i guess
i chose the answer with “figurative”

Do you think that perhaps they would just throw out the section with the typo? I feel like canceling scores for accidentally giving some people 5 extra minutes would be rather extreme.

if we’re making a thread of additional critical readings, i had one that no ones talked about yet: genes in squid and fish lol it was supposed to look at their dna and find the differences for cr experiemntal

what was the “what was assumed” question in easter island? i forgot

@MileSwimmerDude
Same, the implication was that the base of the rocks were not damaged when the ancient Easter islanders set them up.

I think it’s before moais were moved… Anyway, if the option is about having contact with other Pacific islanders, I think you are correct~

did anyone else have the essay about listening?

@ALibertarian u said that u put “prevented rolls from being broken” was that the same question as the answer choice “required fewer resources”?

@16elir
The persuasion one? Yep. I used every single given line for that.

I used personal experiences in debates about pro-choice vs pro-life and a literary reference in The Mortal Instruments lmao.

@MileSwimmerDude you said that you put it was implied the stones were undamaged, was that the same question with the answer choice “requires fewer resources?”

yep @16elir
talked about hitler and ayn rand’s toohey as examples

@mnallamalli97

Nope that was a different question.

what was the question with using fewer resources?

nah the one about fewer resources is the right answer for that one question

i remember some diff question where the answer i think was about the canoe ladders not breaking rollers, which was the problem in the first one. forget the question though…

anyways, i can’t remember much from it anymore so i’m just going to wait it out. really hoping i get -4 or better…

lets talk about the sentence completions. i gotta see how i did on that section haha
