Official 2015 Williams ED Thread

I also applied ED…anyone know if we are going to find out earlier than the 15th at 8pm…my sister goes to Williams, and that is when she found out, but I have had lots of friends this year finding out earlier than expected (not from Williams, obviously but from similar schools)

I applied ED as well! How come our Official ED Thread isn’t as long as those of other schools? Is it because all of you people aren’t nervously waiting for decisions and checking collegeconfidential as well as the peoplesoft account every day like I am?? :D

I just got home for winter break yesterday, so there’s no school to distract me as I wait… As for notification, I doubt that it will be sooner than 8 PM on the 15th, but that’s just a feeling I have.

I am freaking out! I didn’t even know about this thing until the other day I was googling Williams ED trying to find some info about the notification process.
Now this is all I do…when I should be studying for the 6 exams I have next week.

Not sure if this would work, but one of my friends told me about this: if you try to log in with your PeopleSoft account on finance.williams.edu, and it lets you in… that would imply that you were accepted right? They wouldn’t put in financial aid (if that’s what the site is for) info if you weren’t accepted, of course!

And no, this hasn’t worked for me, I doubt it will… but just a thought to pass the time while we can’t think of anything…

Bleargh, I think I’m going to go totally postal before Wednesday. I don’t go five minutes without thinking about it.
I find out at six because I live far away, but it still seems like forever! (and obviously its technically the same time, yada yada whatever TOO LONG).
Who is the first person that everyone is telling? I’m calling my sister, no matter what the news is.

I sort of wish I lived in Hawaii right about now… then I’d find out around 2:00 which would be a lot more bearable than 8:00!

depends on what the decision is…if i get in, i will tell my family then like everyone who has been asking me. if i get denied…i will tell a few friends and let them spare me the misery of telling everyone else…
and yeah those of you living in China, will find at 8am…the next day.

“You will receive an email tomorrow or Tuesday letting you know when results will be available.”

YIKES !

also, first person I’m telling is my mom. She deserves to be the first.

Thanks for the info/warning, shannabanana - if I received any email from Williams tomorrow or Tuesday not knowing that it was just an informational one telling us WHEN decisions were available, I probably would have instinctively freaked just at seeing the sender, hahaha!

And I agree, I’ll definitely be telling my mom first - she’s the person closest to me and the one who’s been patiently dealing with me through all of this chaotic/stressful application stuff, so she definitely deserves to know first (…plus, I live with her so she would definitely know first anyway, lol).
