Congrats KonaLuv!! You started this thread a week ago and have had to patiently wait while watching others post their acceptances in “your” thread. I’m happy that you have now had your dream come true!

Accepted to Architecture!
SAT: 2000 (600 CR, 710 M, 690 W)
GPA: 4.21 (CSU GPA); UW GPA is 3.70
From San Mateo County, CA

It would be the smartest decision I’d ever make to attend Cal Poly… but unfortunately my top priority is to basically leave california…! I’ll have to make some super tough decisions.

Computer Science
Fremont, CA
HS Grad
UC GPA: 4.25 (is this also the CSU GPA…?)
SAT: 2360
Submitted late November

I probably won’t be going, since I’ve gotten into a better school for me, but it’s nice knowing that I’ll have a low-cost option (compared to the UCs). :)

Electrical Engineering
California
High School Grad
GPA - Cal State GPA: 3.95; Fully Weighted 4.something; Unweighted 3.77

Lots of ECs - varsity sports, music and work in his major
National Merit Commendation

I called them yesterday and they told me that the release them daily for the next 3 weeks and that if you haven’t gotten in, it doesn’t mean anything! Goodluck to all of us who are still waiting!

W A I T L I S T E D - Aerospace Engineering

I can’t believed.
Why?

WGPA - 4.63

8 AP tests + 2 more AP this year

Varsity Volleyball
President of 2 clubs
Scout - Troop Leader

I’ve heard (but I have not verified) that if you are “over qualified” they may overlook you because they recognize you may be using this school as a safety school. You have some great stats! If you really want to go there, appeal. Otherwise don’t fret, as you’ll likely get in elsewhere, and likely the school you wanted to go to! Best of luck to you!

What math class are you in this year? I read in a PDF, which I don’t know how to copy (I’m the mom), that Cal Poly SLO wants extra years of math, science and english. Are you taking calculus this year?

Cal Poly SLO does not count your SAT writing score.

I have read the school will tell you why you weren’t admitted if you talk with them.

You do have good stats and I’m sure everything will work out for you in the end.
