I just started the process of applying at Stony Brook. I know I’m a little late but I’m a older student transferring from a CUNY college with a 2.8 gpa. I’m told you can’t get in without a 3.0. Is this true?
I have 50 credits to transfer.</p>

<p>I got in with a 3.5 GPA 28 credits recently.</p>
<p>I had a 3.5 gpa and 55 credits completed at time of application, and a lot of extra curricular.</p>
<p>Got in as well. 60 credits with 3.6GPA. i submitted the SUNY app. and sent in my transcript, quick and easy, nothing else was required. Also got accepted to Binghamton.</p>
<p>I got my stuff in the mail a couple of days ago and it was a decent sized thick envelope. Just waiting on FA stuff now</p>
<p>I got in and just found out but I am not going to attend. </p>
<p>I was planning on going until yesterday when I decided to attend another SUNY (Oswego) school because they have an Education school.</p>

<p>HS GPA : 3.3 </p>
<p>Freshman College GPA: 3.5</p>
<p>When I first applied I had 17 Credits + 6 AP Credits = 23</p>
<p>SAT: 1050</p>
<p>I was at the bottom of the list, until I sent in one of the spring classes that I took as an 8 week course. Making my total credits 26.</p>
<p>I got my decision in a week after I sent the score.</p>
<p>SO YAY! I’m happy, but like I said I am not going. Kind of a Bitter Sweet moment.</p>
<p>I applied for a transfer last year, and I haven’t gotten a response yet. I will have like 62 credits and I sent my current transcript in already. I will send a final transcript in a week after classes end and the final grades are posted. I have around a 3.5 GPA as well, and was told I should get in no problem. Not sure what is taking so long but I am told just to keep waiting.</p>
<p>Call our office and we’ll check your status; we’re about to close transfer admissions as well.</p>

<p>I had a GPA of 2.92 and they rejected my application because of this couple of time ago.</p>
