**Official AP BIO 2012 Thread**

Does anyone recommend Barron’s as a review book? (Not that I can do anything about it at this point…) I’ve read it all the way through but I don’t remember it saying a whole lot about prokaryotes, and that makes me feel like it’s lacking in a lot of information.

Why are 1994 and 1999 so much harder than 2002 and 2008? O_O

I feel that way, Matugi. I keep nervously looking at the clock to see how much time I have left to study.

EDIT: Only ecology to go!

I hate plants!!!

Hey is there a penalty for guessing questions? I heard that for every question you get wrong they deduct 0.25 pts. Is that true?

@Cubbysfan not anymore :)

@Molamola ME TOO D:

No, there is no penalty for guessing. So when you don’t know the answer, guess!

I swear, if it wasn’t for Bozeman biology, I’d fail this thing. Lol

Well, maybe not fail, but definitely no 5 ^.^

I have CliffsAP Biology but its very hard to memorize everything. I’m going to try to read it before tomorrow but its probably pointless since nothing ever sticks to me. And I was wishing for a 5 lol, I think its time to just give up and settle for a 1.

Bozeman is the best. Mr. Anderson is like 10x better than my actual teacher…

But yeah I feel okay about this test. I took the 2008 and 2002 tests in class over the past week and did well on both, so I think I should get a 5. I spent a lot of time studying for the May Bio SAT. All I’ll probably do tonight is go over the labs in Cliffs. Good luck to all!

How deep do you guys think we need to know the labs? I know literally nothing about chi-squares

from what i’ve seen, the basics really. if they unload a whopper on us like the W= -iCRT as a FRQ like last year, it’s only a few points off of forty. Most of the lab questions on practice tests look pretty answerable without having detailed knowledge about the lab itself.

chi-squares: E(expected-observed)^2 / observed
if that value is lower than a critical value, it’s chance
higher = experimental error

i hope i get at least a 4 on this

how hard are Cliffs practice tests compared to the actual one? I aced the 1999, 2002, and 2008 ones but didn’t feel so hot about Cliff’s.

chi squared is easy for me since im in ap stats too, remember that degrees of freedom=n-1

I’m leaving for school to take the exam now…good luck to everyone!!!

Good luck! :)

Btw, I can’t find any Bozeman Biology videos on plants… D: Did I just miss it, or is there just none on plants? D:

Ahh, I was only looking through Biology Essentials… Lol
