what if u got half the mc right and a 30 on the essays? Is that still a 4?

supermax, that gets you approximately a 90, which should be sufficient for a 5.

thx RahoulVA! I hope that i’ill actually get that 5!

ok 123/150 seems too high for me… lol.

I wish I had studied more… the mc would’ve been easy IF I didn’t cram it all in one night. There were so many questions that I was really familiar with when I saw it but don’t remember the details.

I agree. :

Posted in the wrong thread apparently. Test was easy skipped 2 MC got another 3-5 wrong probably, FRQ was easy too. Definite five.

The Multiple Choice seemed like a joke.
I never learned taxonomy except for the animal and plant kingdoms and i didnt learn animal reproduction either and i still only skipped 4.

87 x .9 + (30)1.5 = 123.3

^ yeah i know. I just think that 123 is really high. I was surprised.

MC was harder than the practice tests. It was a bit more difficult than I expected and I studied for some useless material.

FRQ 1 and 3- I probably got close to 10. FRQ 2 was bad. FRQ 4 I kinda did OK.

^^Well your math is kinda off if you think 12 skipped and 5 wrong will give you an 87/100…

12 skipped + 5 wrong is 81.75/100
So, 81.75*(.9) + 30(1.5) = 118.575

That’s still a solid 5 though.

Anyone know the scale for a 3 or 4?

Wait, so if the equation is along the lines of (RAW MC) * (.9) +
(FRQ score) * (1.5), then around what would be the cut off for a 5, a 4, and so on?

i passed. lol. i should have studied more!

Nvm. I found the curves.
From the 2002 test:

91–150 5 (60%)
70–90 4 (Approx 50%)
58–69 3 (Approx 35%)
45–57 2
0–44 1

This would be a good curve this year! xD

personally i thot the FR was quite easy…while the MC not so much
just a different focus it seems, and since when did psychology get a worthy 3 questions out of the 100…

I hope the curve is not too bad. Most people in my class thought mc was hard. FRQ was easy.

MC was okay…
it was VERY undetailed and VERY lab-based.

but free response made me ubber happy [:

a five, j’espere…

I think the curve will remain the same. From my school alone, the grade distribution kinda fit what the kids were saying to me. Like last year 34% got 1s and I feel for my school that definitely held from what people were saying :P. I felt the MC was the same as the 1994 test I took, like same difficulty. I feel that there were a lot more graph questions though. The FRQs, like in all honesty, were easier than last year’s.

It was an easy 5 compared to practice tests I’ve taken and in class tests. MC was a complete joke. I didn’t epect 50% of the Q’s to simply be vocab definitions and reading graphs, lol. I didn’t skip any, and I doubt I got more than 10-15 wrong. FRQ’s was excellent since I went in expecting to be able to answer only like 1 or 2 of them. Pretty much everything that I hadn’t studied wasn’t even on the test.
