I feel like based on the mock, bonding, coulombic attractions, and atomic radii are important. Its not really a long topic, but its important. Stuff like ordering ions based on size
@MasterMaestro it’s my first AP test too!

And apparently there’s no need for sig figs unless they ask…

Anyone Using the Princeton Review 2014?

I have that… The explanations aren’t that good but the questions are good.

Atomic properties
States of matter
Equilibrium
Kinetics
Thermodynamics
Lab Procedures and Experiments
Electrochemical
Bonding
Reactions and periodicity
Stoichiometry

That should be most of it

Does anyone have or did anyone take the released AP Chem practice test?

and acids and bases.

gah, me too maestro

Atomic properties
States of matter
Equilibrium
Kinetics
Thermodynamics
Lab Procedures and Experiments
Electrochemical
Bonding
Reactions and periodicity
Stoichiometry

Out of all of these, which of them should I study the most?

it’s hard to pick and choose one to study the most since they’re all on the AP test in somewhat equal proportions…

hopefully fives for everyone here, good luck guys

Hoping and praying…

Just wondering but how many people are taking the AP chem exam in your school because my teacher mentioned today that she wanted 108 fives this year.

Around 60 in my school…
My teacher has super low expectations for us… She said that her goal was no one get 1s.

I have 50 kids taking it: about 20 sophomores, 25 juniors, and 5 seniors.

I think mainly if you review the topics and practice all aspects of the six “Big Ideas” posted by College Board you should be good! (re: http://media.collegeboard.com/digitalServices/pdf/ap/11_3461_AP_CF_Chemistry_WEB_110930.pdf#page=19)
I took the practice test before I saw the curriculum framework (unfortunately) and from what I noticed everything that they mentioned there was on the mock- so take it seriously- it’s made by the same people who put together the actual exam we’re taking this Monday

If you feel unprepared or nervous, don’t be! We’re all on the same boat here, we were all provided with very limited resources seeing that its the first year they’re trying out this exam the only thing we CAN do is make the most of what we were provided with. So keep calm and may the curve be ever in our favor

@MasterMaestro I did the princeton review 2014. I do not think that the MCs are good for that mainly because they do not match the question types that are on the mock test given by college board. However, the FRQs seem to be good. Also, does anyone know if there will be a lab question on the frqs, my teacher told us not to worry about it since it will not be on the AP.

I’m pretty sure there will be because there was one on the mock…

I would expect a lab question.

~84 people for my school
