So I retook the same practice exam after going over the ones I missed and apparently, according to Barron, I got a 4. I highly doubt I’ll get that high though but I’m hoping for at least a 3. I’m so scared and I think I’ll bomb most of the FRQ.

I’m practicing FRQs as we speak for the same fear of bombing it lol.

@cxcharlie I am confused about one thing. If I send my college AP scores–will they see all of them or only the subjects I send to them?

Just a little tip that my teacher always suggests. If you don’t know how to do one part of a multiple step problem on the frq, make a number up for that one part and just keep using that number. (I suggest using the number 1 for obvious reasons) According to my teacher they can’t mark you off for the same mistake so as long as your work is right for the other parts you’re good. Obviously I’ve never been to an AP grading session so I have no way of verifying this but it’s something. Just don’t freak out and leave the whole question blank if you don’t know one part. Then you’ll get nothing

@xxx123456xxx Your AP scores are self-reported. You can report some but not others I think. You don’t have to officially send scores until later so they can give you credit if you’re admitted. I believe this is the case.

@Edgar461 That’s good advice, but I usually get so disheartened that I probably won’t get the rest anyways lol.

@xxx123456xxx Not sure about details, but I do know that colleges will see your score if you don’t cancel.

Just going to sleep and wake up early. I guess the best thing to do at this point is to sleep enough and do a little bit of reviewing. Also practicing the FRQ.

@NIGHTLOCK I’m a senior already and I’ve already been admitted. This is my first year taking AP’s so I’m not sure. If CollegeBoard officially sends the scores will they be sending all the tests that I took or only the subjects that I tell them to send?

@NIGHTLOCK my chem teacher was just not that great of a teacher, like some stuff we just couldn’t understand. Now I really enjoy her as a person, Im her Teacher Assistant for a block and she’s super chill. And i know she knows chemistry its just she’s not the best at teaching it to us and the class is a little disorderly… her gibbs free energy is negative for labs, she never knows what we are going to do.

Anyone know if you’re marked off for not labeling (aq) and crap like that.

@xxx123456xxx Well, you can cancel bad scores, but I actually think they would send all that you didn’t cancel.
@dsm2017 Lol. Sounds like my group every lab. I hold the record for breaking 3 evaporating dishes. The tongs suck.

@NIGHTLOCK according to the AP website–they will only see my scores if I indicate it on the answer sheet. I am not going to do so until I see my scores and then rush send them if I got a good score.

@NIGHTLOCK one of our labs was literally counting beads and pretending they represented radioactive isotopes, what a waste of any hour… the only exciting thing in lab all year was when we did flame tests and my friend accidentally lit the trash can on fire

So do we need to write states of matter for each of the reactants and products in a chemical equation for the exam?

@xxx123456xxx Sounds like a plan to me.
@dsm2017 wow lol. The whole class was scared cause my teacher was doing that soap/foam experiment and lighting the foam on fire with a lighter next to wood cabinets. He also blew up like a pressurized 5-gal can almost through the ceiling. It was entertaining lol.

You won’t be marked off for not labeling states in a rxn. You will be marked off for not having correct number of sig figs or incorrect units(Just one point for the whole question if sig figs are incorrect) Make sure to watch the units very carefully. on some previous questions I’ve seen them give delta S in kJ/mol and then give delta H in J/mol they can be really sneaky about that

Do you guys think my admissions will be rescinded if I got a 1 on my exam?

@TIP do so to be safe? I honestly have no clue. Obviously write the important ones, like if it asks for precipitate, write the (s), but IDK about the (aq), (l), (g) and whatnot.

Thanks @Edgar461
Good luck to everyone on the exam!
