Official AP Euro '11 Thread

One day left guys. You ready?

Hey, sinohellenic!

I’ve actually been doing lots of practice tests so I can hone my multiple choice skills and timing as much as possible. Now, I’m just trying to memorize stuff for potential FRQs.

I hope I’m ready, let’s just say that. How about you?

Just curious… what is everyone else studying for the FRQs?

This is the exam I am most prepared for. I did it self-study, so I was kind of concerned, but I have scored between 72 and 76 on each of the 4 released exams I’ve done

@sinohellenic, percent or out of 80? because if that’s out of 80 then that’s ridiculously good, if it’s percent then thats still really good.

Also, did you pay for the exams or find them online? because I’ve only been able to find one online.

I’ve been doing marginally well on the multiple choice (75% on the 1984 exam, 78% on the 1994 exam, 84% on the 2004 exam, 86% on the 1999 exam, etc.) which I think I can improve at least by a few percent in the next few hours (I definitely need to review more modern history).

However, I’m definitely quite worried about the DBQ. Since I self-studied, I haven’t familiarized myself with the format. Thankfully I think I’m okay for the FRQs since I did take APUSH (and my teacher was really, really good-- a Harvard grad  ), but like I said, that DBQ worries me. I think tonight I’ll take a few for practice, just to adjust myself to the format.

Btw, the FRQ is the same for Euro as it is for US, right?

Good luck everyone. Do not stress yourselves out tonight. Take it easy and relax.

Does anyone have the 2009 exam? I have it, but half of the questions are cut off so I can only really take half of the exam. I have all the other Euro exams that I would be willing to send in return!

Zuuu i dont have any euro exams but would u be so kind as to send me a MC section?

Where do you find these Euro exams??? Is it possible to send one to me?

Yeah, of course. PM me with your email addresses and I’ll send you what I have.

Just got your email. I love you.

Haha, you’re welcome :)

any predictions on frqs?

I predict more modern frqs. Certainly a woman question, maybe a question on the cold war. and MAYBE (this is a huge maybe) this will be the year they drop an EU question on us. If you look at previous questions, they have without a doubt been getting more and more modern.

there’s always one on cold war, and one on feminism

for me, i’m scared that I won’t have enough concrete evidence for frqs :frowning: or that i’ll completely misread the prompt T___T

the dbqs are ridiculous; it’s very easy to get a 8 at least
just follow these steps:

 1. thesis that answers question
 2. 3 groups OR MORE
 3. use all or all but one documents
 4. analyze POV in 6-7 docs (in case one of them doesn’t count)
 5. DON’T QUOTE

i think that should be it :)

GOOD LUCK Y’ALL D:!

I plan to study Cold war and women in europe history- cuz i kno those are like…for sure, hopefully they dont appear in the same grouping

does anyone know where to get past MC sections?

hey, how are the frq questions about cold war and women usually framed? i mean compare and contrast?

" Compare and contrast the goals and achievements of the feminist movement in the
period circa 1850–1920 with those of the feminist movement in the period 1945 to
the present"

" Assess the ways in which women participated in and influenced TWO of the
following.
The Renaissance
The Reformation
The French Revolution"

" Analyze the political and economic effects of changing population patterns in Western
Europe in the period circa 1950 to the present. Cite specific examples from at least
TWO countries. "

" Evaluate the changes and continuities in women’s public roles during the Renaissance"
