***Official AP European History Thread 2015***

Seeing how we’ve only got 3 days till the test, just pick one and stick with it.
I took Psych yesterday, and I’m just starting my review for Euro….
I’m going through AP Achiever and CrashCourse…
Good luck!

I’ve been using PR and crash course…though at this point I probably will only finish crash course (I’m only up to the French Rev in my personal mini-review)

I used Barron’s, did all of the Princeton review and some other brand’s practice tests (in the bookstore haha, didn’t actually buy the book or read it, just did the tests). I’m using PDFs of Crash Course (I think I’m going to read this Friday morning), some “Peterson” book, and I’m trying to finish a book on modern European history I started reading…Uh, I’m kind of running out of time though.

Same, I am just craming with CrashCourse, use appass.com to judge what scores you need on each section to get the AP score that you want. I will be staying up late tonight to finish the book, then read it again tomorrow and once more on friday morning. Going for a 5 - Should be fun…

Good luck!

Princeton > barrons imo. Where do you guys think the curve will be? I’m thinking fairly steep this year

It’s the last AP Euro exam with this format: there is no telling if the exam will be incredibly easy or hard.

I am just hoping that the DBQ won’t be hard.

That’s the boat I’m in. Rather have an easier DBQ and harder FRQ’S

I got a 90% on a practice MC at my school this week. Hoping I can maintain that on the real test

I’m using Modern European History. Only on Age of Imperialism. Gonna cram all night and hope for the best

I think I’ll be fine on multiple choice, but I’m kinda nervous about FRQ’s.

We’ve written 2 essays all year, and my teacher has only graded 1. Ready to fail.

Yeah I’m worried about FRQ’s too more than MC…
Also, quick question, how do you guys personally format your DBQ’s? Because my teacher’s method is, in my opinion, strange, but that’s how I’ve been writing them all year…so…I’d rather stick to that format, but not if it’s like, wrong.

It depends for me on the essay. I usually just have an opening paragraph with historical context and my thesis and then 3 body paragraphs with my 3 groups and then a concluding paragraph.

I switched from Modern EH to Crash Course, and for cramming, it’s MUCH better.

So I’m freaking out. I’m mostly worried about the FRQs. How do you guys manage to remember so much information and be able to think so quickly on your feet about what evidence you’re going to use in your thesis statement?

In the 15 min prep session, I first read the DBQ prompt. Then, I flip straight to the back and pick my FRQ prompts and try to jot down what I know about the prompt I pick. Then, and only then, I go back to the DBQ and start working on that.

Hey anybody, any ideas on how to study the 1600s - 1800s? :s

Thanks @collegeinspired, I was also wondering how you guys do your FRQs
Also, your best bet at this point is crash course for 1600s to 1800s…you might be able to find a pdf somewhere if you don’t have it already

@zenith99 what do you mean by “do”? I jot down what I know. Then after my DBQ (which ideally i finish in about 50 minutes or less), I go back and look over what I did earlier for FRQs. In addition, something was probably churned up about the FRQs while doing my DBQ, so I jot that down if it happened. I then use a 5 paragraph essay style, but Paragraphs 1 and 5 are just my thesis stated differently with a short background sentence.

hey how were the nobles controlled in france?
