It asked for 20th or 21st century examples so that should be fine.

@Jackyt I did the frqs backwards too! and I also talked about the burqa ban in France !

@candacemiller I don’t think most Europeans could name more than a few US states. And it’s not that hard either, almost every state has their own distinct shape unlike Europe where France, Spain, Germany, and Poland all have more or less the same shape. And pretty much all of eastern Europe is the same too. I’d also love to see that 20% statistic.

^If you think France, Spain, Germany, and Poland have the same shape, you should look closer…and the Baltic States, Belarus, Ukraine, and the Balkan states are VERY differently shaped…

But then again, I’m obsessed with geography, so…

@garfieldliker

I’m not saying I didn’t know where they where, I got them right on the test (I am also infatuated with geography) I was just trying to show @candacemiller the difference in knowing the US states’ geography and knowing Europe’s.

^I never implied that you didn’t know where they are, I was just confused as to why you think their shapes are the same…

It hasn’t been a full 48 hours since the test. We can’t talk about the test yet

^ that explains your username.

^hahahhaahahahaha

It has been 48 hours for me! :D

So after reading this thread. I think I got about 45 of the MC, all the points on the first 2 FRQs, and no (or one) point on the last one.

What should I expect for a score?

When do they post the FRQ scoring guidelines? I think I vaguely remember it saying on the test that it would be 48 hours after the test but it’s been that and they still haven’t posted them.

They probably wait until 48 hours after the times of the western-most timezone…so It should be posted in about an hour or so.

But don’t get so worked up about it…just check back in the evening.

They won’t post the scoring guidelines yet. Just the FRQs.

Guys, FRQ’s are up now. So I guess it’s now legally allowed for us to discuss.

My 3 Walls/Barriers for Question 1:

-Berlin Wall
-the Mexico/San Diego Wall

and call me stupid on this last one, I couldn’t think of a last one. Total last minute brain block. But

I did the:

-New Orleans Dame (ughh I know, I know. Talk about idiotic)

And at the time it seemed like a good idea and the stupid part about it is, I chose it to further branch off of for the 2nd part of the question.

Hope this doesn’t kill me too much!

I said Berlin wall, Communist buffer states, and cuba’s exertion from foreign intervention.

Cuba built a wall/barrier around its island?

I said:

1.North/South Korea Border
Wall around Israel
Berlin Wall

Explained Berlin Wall

Muslim immigration to France-
Guest Workers
Migration due to French colonies in Africa/Persecution.

Hmm, I assume the reason the Dutch(as opposed to, say, the Belgians) have a lot of Muslim immigrants is because of immigration from Indonesia?

I said DMZ (the Demilitarized Zone, between North and South Korea), the Berlin Wall, and the US-Mexico Border. I was thinking of the Israel-Gaza one, but didn’t mention it since I didn’t know that much about it.

I said the berlin wall and mexico u.s. border. I blanked on the third one and talked about the inter-entity boundary line in Bosnia.

For #3, I said guest workers and the collapse of Yugoslavia, which I hope is acceptable.
