AP HUMAN GEOGRAPHY: What did you think?

I used Barron's to study, and the MC in the book were much more straight-forward than those on the actual test. Overall the MC was easy, but there were some questions I wasn't sure about. The FR was easy as well, except for the first one. It gave me some trouble. I couldn't remember one of the "things" we had to talk about. Still hoping for at least a 4.

Well, I just looked up the "thing" I wasn't sure about, and as it turns out, I completely guessed and ended up talking about the basic idea of the "thing," so I'm happy now. Hopefully I'll get most of the points.

Oh my god, I didn't know what that "thing" was either. I completely guessed; I know I got half of the #1 essay right because that other "thing" WAS NEVER IN BARRONS!!! So sad; hopefully a 4.

Oh my god you thought the MC was easy, it was so incredibly HARD Barrons didn't help a bit, I'd say more, but I'm scared I'll get in trouble. :P
OH WHY COULDNT THE MC ON THE 2006 TEST BE AS EASY AS THE 2008!!!!! I'm now praying for a 3, I got like a 5 on the 2006. The MC was just unbelievably hard, I lost track of time on the MC so I couldn't really go through each multiple choice on each answer. OMG IM FREAKING OUT IF I DID BAD IM GOING TO HIDE IT FROM COLLEGES BY PAYING A $10 FEE!!! On the FRQ I just didn't know that one thing. You know.... lol

I thankfully guessed right on the "thing" as well. Woulda been so much easier if they used different wording...

mcs were alright, there were 3-4 obscurities

No he M's were retarded I thought they were supposed to be so easy, damn if I would of used my time more wisely my score would of been so much better. I'm so mad at myself.

Sligh_Anarchist: both concepts from frq1 was in barron's.

i thought the MC was kind of unfair. it didn't even really cover concepts and theories and such that is supposed to be covered in the course. rather, it was all just ridiculously specific question. some of it was really easy but a lot of it was ehh and i finished feeling like i would have gotten the same amount of questions right if i had never studied or even picked up my barron's.

the FRQs....i thought it was really easy but who knows...i might have worded it wrong or something.

Mc- First 50 questions easy, 50-60 some hard or really specific Last 15 extremely easy.
Other than that the MC was easy. I am hoping for a five on it. The practice test was harder. The specific questions were ok. I only skipped 1.

The FRQ- Number #1 was easy if i knew what the other thing was!
2 and 3 were a joke.

Yeah, the concepts from #1 are in Barron's. I thought the same thing initially, but once you look it up, you'll see what they did on the exam and it makes sense.

The distribution of topics on the test was kind of strange, in my opinion.

Yes, the one part of the test had easy MC's. A TON WAS SO HARD. I feel like my score would of been minor worse if I never took this class lol. 2006 exam so easy compared to this. They didn't cover some of the big parts of this class/barrons in the MC Exam; which really ****ed me off. I don't know 60 mins is not enough I didn't have enough time to look at each answer and consontrate. If I'm revealong to much someone tell me, and this post will be automatically delete. Thanks
EDIT: OMG THE MC WAS HARD

There were several parts where I had the same three letters in a row. I hate that. I think I even had four at one point.

By the way, what grade is everyone in? I'm a senior.

Yea I know. They were in there except the names were different and I knew the concept except i did know it was referred to it as "..........". The question will kill alot of people but the other two will make up. Oh well, there were a view questions that were unfair yet i think they did that because majority were straightforward.

Bu the MC was harder than the previous years right? The 2006 MC exam was cake compared to this?

lol don't worry bout it, it wasn't that bad. I finished it in 30 minutes and had 30 minutes to go over it. I took a practice test from collegeboard and got a high 3. I felt like that test was harder than this one. Like a few questions i remember marking the opposite answer because i didn't read the question-- but i fixed em. What i am worried about is if i marked by bubbles correctly.

I self studied last year (using barrons)

When I opened the MC packet I was like ohhhhh crap and I was like for the whole test.

The essays were ok though.

After the test, I was literally so close to cancelling my score (i thought I got a 2).

Then in july I opened my thing... and I got a 5!!!!!!

Don't worry about it, they score thing a weird way. I literally guessed on 70% of the MC

It took me the full 60 mins, I took to long in the beginning cause I went OH CRAP, I lost track of the time so I had to use my first instinct. Which sucks, cause I normally don't do it, and I'm now freaking out lol!

well talk about it after the deadline.

Yeah Im done talking about it lol. Im so NERVOUS SO BYE. Y'all.

I thought the MC is ridiculous as well; it doesn't test any of the basic concepts of geography. It's basically a test of a bunch of random crap. Some i knew, some i don't, few i learned from barron's, most I didn't. I'm pretty close to canceling my score right now... advice?

I thought the test was really easy, but I used Kaplan instead of Barron's for prep because Barron's was supergeneral.

Essays were the best I've ever seen for the course. First year that there was nothing obscure.

There were some that threw me off on MC, but I think I got enough right to score a 5, hopefully.
