I think that teacher is just boring because i heard this is the easiest and most interesting Ap class/exam because everything can be related to real life since it is talking about your psychology
^ Exactly.
the AP psych exam doesn’t have as much material you need to learn as other exams like comp sci/bio/etc, which makes it really easy as is.

Maybe it’s just me, but psychology is also an extremely interesting subject and if you try, you probably won’t have any trouble studying and boredom will be almost impossible (except for when you get to the section relating to neurons and whatnot ew). A lot of the terms in psychology are pretty self-explanatory, and a lot of it is extremely relevant to what we see and observe around us every day, so even if you study for, let’s say, a week before the exam and you are constantly exposed to what you study by observing those around you, then that in itself is studying.

AP Psych is one of the easiest exams for three reasons.
Lack of much material you have to learn (and the info you have to know is fairly self-explanatory)
The information’s relevance to our every day lives
The fact that it’s fun to study and be curious about

This is so easy you can self-study in one day. Read Barrons once, take some pratcice tests, and read crash course a few times. I self-studied in 3 days before the exam, and it wass wayyy to much overkill and overstudying.

I’m self studying for Psych and I plan on using the Barron’s book. I’m also self studying for AP World, alongside 5 AP classes at school, piano, guitar, captaining a varsity sport and working part time. I’m a senior…I’m gonna die.

My problem with this class is if I take the exam and get like a 4 or 5 on it, but then you get accepted into schools, that don’t even except the credit. I would feel that I wasted a whole school year on a class, but then again I didn’t stress myself out that year for taking a harder class instead.

It does interest me, the point is it going to be worth it. Plus now at my county of schools they are making parents pay half the cost of an each AP exam. Most people are making less than $50,000 a year. Though if I do take the class it benefits my GPAs.

I’m taking the class because I know the teacher to be one of the best at my school. She’s one of those teachers who can make everything seem fun and interesting. Plus, like some of you said Psych is actually interesting.

^ Totally agree with potatochipsdojo (even though we probably don’t even live in the same state haha…)

My Psych teacher is wonderful, I needed the GPA boost, and the material is just so much better when someone else can present it to you. I already had an interest in psychology in the first place, so it makes the class even easier!

I’m an freshman and I’m going to self study as well. I bought the Barron’s book and flashcards. I also have the Myers textbook. How often would I need to go throw these materials?

15 year old Freshman here. My school offers only 1 AP class (Human Geo.) for Freshman, so I thought Id self-study Psychology and if it ended up being easy I’ll actually take the test. I got Barron’s and Princeton’s latest editions and so far it seems pretty simple. Common sense and memorization is all there is to it, from my perspective. It’s pretty fun too!
