So is it 12 or 36?
I hope my teacher goes over all the frq’s because i think i did so badly on this test
@jetslife08 you had to add up the probabilities from 1, 2, and 3 ATM’s to find the probability of at least one. And then you took the probability of getting three (I think .24) and you put it over the probability of at least one which was .85. You get .282
@tina23 ME EXACTLY
Cant talk about the exam
part b # 3 is still based on the initial CI (0.09, 0.21), i said the CI DOES NOT provide CONVINCING EVIDENCE that the proportion IS 0.2. It only suggests that p MAY BE 0.2, but not exactly 0.2
It was just (X=3) / (X at least 1)
What about he mc where it asked about 30 something, and there was 3 bad thing. What did you get as the probability of not being caught and returned?
I am pretty sure graders will still give u points even if u did the wrong test, like its 2 proportion z test but they will still give u points even if u did chi-square
Cant talk about the exam
@iputtheapincrap Ok, that’s the answer I got. Instead though I found the reciprocal of 0.85 and then multiplied that to 0.24.
(27/30) x (26/29). I had trouble with that one at first because I thought you had to do a binomial distribution but it’s just probability.
Cant talk about the exam
@chienzhouzz
I hope so. Because I got a small p-value and stated my conclusion. So I hope I got a 2/4 on it.
It was .8069
@Gager292
Me too, also guessed correctly.
@gager292 guess so!
Do you think they will take off if I said it was a 2-sample z test for proportions? I used the right formula though with the pooling and I rejected Ho
Wait it was pooled? Shoot. I thought it wasnt, and I got a small p value and rejected Ho
