It is concurring.
Majority Opinion is you believe what the court holds.
Concurrent is you agree with the outcome, but you think it should have a different implication or have a different outlook.
Dissenting is you dont give a crap and disagree with all of it!

That curve better not be BS, if it isn’t BS there are gonna be so many 5s this year!

@alphabot what curve?

They add a curve to exams. However, there is usually a very high curve if the exam is hard. But, since this exam was easy, there will be a very low curve. Thus to make a 4 or 5 you can’t have missed many questions. This gives you less leeway as opposed to a hard exam.

@alphabot In my crash course book it said a 79 was the minimum for a 4. Do those numbers stay constant?

@alphabot idk, this was exam was pretty straightforward and easy. some trick questions here and there but they could have been answered with deductive reasoning. I’m hoping for a normal curve, but I guess a 4 wouldn’t be too bad.

@BarryYung42 While prep books have included ESTIMATES for certain scores, 79 for a 4 minimum seems very accurate. What I am saying is, we don’t know exactly how many points we need because CollegeBoard does not release that information. Basically what happens is, CollegeBoard grades everyone’s tests and get a raw score. So they adapt the scale to keep consistent pass rates (i.e. 13-15% 5s I think) . However, there is no need to freak out! The prep books wisely give you a reccomended scale to score in so no matter what curve or how hard the test was you should get the desired score 90% of the time. To me, if you got 80+ then you are very set for a 4. If you got 95+ you should be able to get a 5.

What state you guys in? I live in CA so our test started late lol. Fun Fact, no one in my room had pens so they had to delay the test by 30 min to go to Office Max to buy pens.

@alphabot Michigan. lol i brought 3 pens and 3 pencils. Only 3-4 people out of the 20-30 taking the test actually studied. I was one of them. Is a mc score of 50+ usually able to achieve a 4?

Definitely, you are on the track for a 5 with 50+. If you did good on your essays thats a 5.

Was really straightforward. FRQs were much less frightening than I thought they would be.

@BarryYung42 Also from Michigan!

We had 150-200 kids take the exam. -.-

@alphabot what if i missed like 7 points on essays? I know for a fact I got almost all of the last one wrong and maybe some other mistakes?

@awflapjackz what region in michigan?

My this year APs order of difficulty was probably, easiest to hardest. Gov -> Chem and Human Geo tied.

@BarryYung42 Southeastern Michigan. You?

@alphabot I’m also taking macro. Just finished a practice multiple choice, and it did not go so well. /: I took chemistry too.

@BarryYung42 You are on the borderline for a 4 and 5. There is a possibility you may be able to snag a 5. I don’t know though, because if there is a lower curve than it might be close.

@Awflapjackz I feel you, now that I think about it, I didn’t study much for chem though either got a 4 or a 5. Prbly 4.

@alphabot I honestly have no idea how I did on chem. What are you using for macro? I have 5 steps but it obviously hasn’t helped me much. I’ll be cramming the next two nights hehe

nah, you probably got a 5:
